INNOVATION BY MISTAKE ? Actually No, Initially, I thought the new USSD code for all mobile network was established from the debt challenge they were having with banks and the federal government as the news reported few weeks back However upon reading about it online, Techpoint Africa reported that the Nigerian Communications Commission began pushing for the harmonisation of USSD short codes in 2017. That year, it hired a project consultant to conduct research and spearhead the project. The new harmonised codes are: Call Centre – 300 Borrow Services – *303# Stop Service – *305# Check Balance – *310# Credit Recharge – *311# Data plans – *312# Data plan Balance – *323# Share Services – *321# Voicemail Deposit – 301 Voicemail retrieval – 302 These codes would supposedly work for all mobile network, though some network has not properly integrated.
