A conversation 'among us'...
In my opinion, 'human' communication is

This post is just a vent! I am (Simone Horvatin) reflecting on this, stepping away a bit from my professional field (where I usually confine myself to technical-commercial posts). I write here as a human being. My perception (sensitivity) is showing me that one of the biggest challenges today is communication among us, humans. Although technologies seem to have made it easier, it's becoming increasingly difficult for us to communicate (literally).
I notice a collective rush, a collective exhaustion. Nobody has available time. I remember that hurried rabbit from 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' (book written by Lewis Carroll, 1865). The premises of human communication: time and interest, in this case, an interest in hearing what the other has to say, and vice versa. Communication fosters discussions that lead to reflections, and in the business world - create opportunities.
We are losing our skills. We are overwhelmed with information. Today, there are so many paths, but they don't lead us anywhere. We have various social networks, messaging systems, cell phones, and emails. But it has happened to me to message a connection on LinkedIn believing that I am 'talking' to the person from the profile, and it was just any paid service professional responding 'on behalf of that profile'. I realized from the consistency of the interaction that it had nothing to do with the professional profile. I consider this a 'fake' profile.
Now with the assistance of AI, everything has accelerated, and at the same time, there is silence. Are these technologies bringing us together and improving us as people, or are they turning us into 'avatars'? A profile of a professional who is not responding for himself, banking or any other service handled by 'AI call center', and the distance between the exchange of glances (human) and the competition with cell phone screens.
As humans, what are we becoming? Avatars? What are we allowing ourselves to become? Do we have choices or is it too late? Everything that doesn't provide us with the opportunity to choose deprives us, conditions us, and limits us from being who we are.
This text was originally written in Portuguese and translated with the help of AI. As a tool for work and communication, it's excellent. However, regarding everything else, the consequences, I have many doubts.

Human communication is becoming a luxury item.
I was not born to be a sheep, and you?
