Cameron Davey – Congratulations! We’re excited to celebrate yet another 10-year anniversary at Terra Firma!    Cameron Davey has led a wide range of projects for Terra Fima across the last 10 years, with his journey incorporating a broad range of business and IT projects, establishing PMO frameworks & capability uplifts and recently managing complex multi-year programs of work. As a Team Lead at Terra Firma, Cameron has supported a broad range of consultants in their Terra Firma journey, who will have benefited from his pragmatic and candid advice.   We’ve enjoyed watching Cameron evolve as a business consultant and we thank him for 10 years of dedication to Terra Firma, our clients, and our people.   Keep up the great work Cameron!

Tom Welsh our Consulting Capability Executive talks about how Terra Firma empowers their staff to use knowledge sharing within the business. One thing we love about our Terra Firma people, is their willingness to share knowledge and their experiences.    This week alone we have had our Lean Agile Centre of Enablement (LACE) group convene to discuss a range of participant led topics and we’ve hosted a Brown Bag session (lunch and learn) on the use of collaboration tools.    These are consultant led forums and let our team promote ideas, share knowledge, and assist other consultants to develop a better understanding of a broad range of topics, often piquing interest to pursue some deeper learning as part of their individual learning plans. This type of collegiality and collaboration really provides a great opportunity for our people to develop, and to focus their energy into areas that will be of most benefit to them and to our clients.   In addition to our structured learning programs, this type of consultant led knowledge sharing really helps to build our capability and to build relationships amongst the team.   We’re very thankful for the efforts of our volunteer contributors and coordinators. #knowledgesharing #shareexperience #teamwork #volunteers

Please give a warm welcome to Amanda C. - the newest member of our BC&R team at Terra Firma. Get to know more about Amanda and her experience below! Amanda joined as a Business Consultant with a focus on examining business resilience, particularly in areas such as business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery. Her favourite aspect of this field is understanding how organisations operate and helping them enhance their processes to identify and protect what is important to them. At Terra Firma, she hopes to continue this work and engage with diverse, interesting clients so she can capitalise on the opportunity to learn and understand more about their motivations. Amanda’s professional career began with work installing software on financial trading floors and then transitioned to dark fibre installation. She discovered her passion in business continuity and disaster recovery and since then she has focused her efforts on helping organisations respond to setbacks and challenges. Her most rewarding career experiences have been with local governments, utility, banks and IT companies where she has collaborated with forward-thinking people, committed to making improvements for the public and their clients.   When she’s not working, Amanda enjoys running, travelling, diving, and swimming but is currently sidelined with an injury and hoping to return to it soon. Amanda is interested in sustainability work, having completed a Business Sustainability Course, and is pursuing a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling to better assist organisations in safeguarding their staff's well-being during crises. She aims to prevent situations where employees are left unprepared and vulnerable by integrating her knowledge into her current role and helping bring about positive change within organisational practices. #terrafirma #businesscontinuity #newstarter

Please give a warm welcome to Sam Sinclair, the newest member of our leadership team! Get to know more about Sam and her exciting new role below. As Terra Firma’s Head of Talent, Sam is dedicated to leading our organisation towards attracting the best talent and facilitating connections between the talent team, client relationship executives, and capability executives. She is passionate about helping businesses grow and retain their employees. As a leader and mentor for our talent team, Sam aims to provide clarity and direction around processes within the team to ensure consistency in the candidate experience.  During her extensive career in talent acquisition, one of Sam’s highlights was her success at startup consultancy Escient, which received multiple awards under her leadership, including The Australian Business Awards Employer of Choice Winner 2020. With a wealth of experience working in consulting organisations, Sam is excited to experience Terra Firma’s diversity of clients and innovative projects. She finds she is always learning through consultants and their unique experiences in delivering to clients in the field.  Outside of work, Sam enjoys socialising with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and experimenting with cooking at home. Sam is kept busy by her two adult children at university, and she loves to travel internationally and explore different parts of Australia. Recently, Sam embarked on a road trip up the east coast of Australia after finishing her previous role, allowing her to recharge before starting her current role at Terra Firma. #terrafirma #leadership #talentacquisition

Yesterday Terra Firma had their first PD session for 2024 which was held in both the Melbourne and Sydney offices. We are excited to welcome Kayley O'Connor to the team at Terra Firma! Click below to read more about Kayley and her background as a Business Analyst.  Kayley recently relocated from Ireland to Australia in search of a company that could provide her with opportunities to engage in a diverse range of projects. With a career spanning experiences in both large and small consulting firms, she sought a role with Terra Firma that fell somewhere in between. Her previous positions primarily revolved around the discovery and delivery side of CRM implementations, focusing on platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot CRM, so she is interested in trying something new. As a Business Analyst, Kayley's primary motivation is to enhance people's experiences by taking existing processes, identifying pain points, and creating a better customer journey or user experience. Her focus is on addressing what people dislike and finding ways to make their day-to-day tasks more efficient and user-friendly. A notable project in Kayley's career involved working with a major pharmaceutical company. Her team’s objective was to implement a marketing, sales channel and service platform that would engage customers, drive satisfaction, and integrate various systems that provided a view of different customer activities. Through the implementation of new CRM and its integration with existing systems, they achieved a unified customer profile view, consolidating marketing, sales and service activities. At Terra Firma, Kayley hopes to continue doing what she loves: working with different customers in various industries, dissecting their processes, and helping them improve. She aims to contribute to making our client’s operations more efficient and their experiences more satisfying. Outside of work, Kayley enjoys exploring Melbourne as she is new to Australia. She loves exploring the city, going to different places, and occasionally venturing out to other parts of Australia. Kayley also enjoys going for walks, spending time at the beach, watching rugby, playing basketball and doing aerial hoop.  #terrafirma #newstarter #businessanalyst
