Help us make an impact on children’s oral health while celebrating National Children's Dental Health Month! From Tuesday, February 21 – Friday, February 24, I will be participating in a virtual fundraising event Brush it Up! supporting The Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health. I serve on the board of The L.A. Trust and am continually amazed by all the organization accomplishes to improve the health of our public-school children so that they might better succeed academically. As part of our mission, we have made a commitment to battle the barriers of accessing oral health care: lack of awareness; lack of dental insurance; and a shortage of oral health providers to treat low-income children in their communities. Children’s oral health has been on a decline since the beginning of the pandemic, especially among our most vulnerable populations. Dental pain impacts a child’s ability to eat, sleep, learn and play. Children with poor oral health are nearly three times more likely to miss school and perform poorly. Won’t you join me in my efforts to raise money for our public school students by giving in honor of my goal? Please visit my page and make a donation here: https://lnkd.in/g3zmWdDa Also, there you can watch and share the daily videos of The L.A. Trust’s staff featuring oral health puppets Billy and Friends, which will include surprising facts and fun challenges for you and your family. Thank you for your consideration. Together, we can make equitable student healthcare a reality. #healthcare #thankyou #students #health

An increasing focus on patient wellness has more healthcare providers using phones to remind patients of their appointments and necessary information. But instead of spending more resources trying to call phones, two-thirds of healthcare organizations are now turning to text messages as a more direct path to the patient and a better way to improve patient outreach and engagement: https://bit.ly/2JwDhdQ #patients #patientengagement #EHR
