How Our CSA Works

Mechanics

CSA shares will run for 20 weeks from the week of May 31st through the week of October 11th. Our share is a "mix and match" share; besides one or two limited items, our members will decide how to fill their bags from the 8–14 different crops we’ve harvested each week. In addition to our vegetables, our members will receive a dozen eggs, select herbs, and/or a handmade sunflower bouquet in each share. Other goodies from the farm (like a pasture-raised chicken) are discounted to our members.

Convenience

We strive to provide flexibility in Marshview Farm’s CSA model. There will be three locations and times to pick up your produce—just show up to whichever pick-up location works best for you any given week. Home delivery is also an option; depending on location, delivery fees may apply. Up to three weeks can be skipped during the season, allowing you to double your share another week. You’re always welcome to send a friend or family member to pick up your share. All fresh, unused produce will be donated to local food pantries.

Growing Techniques

While we are not yet certified organic, our produce is grown with adherence to organic standards. All of us at Marshview Farm believe strongly that vegetables harvested from a living soil that is chemical-free is what's best for our tables, our land, and our customers. We invite you to ask questions about our growing practices anytime.
