JESSICA FARHAT, MSN, NP-C
Jess is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services. Jessica’s passion has led her to specialize in medical aesthetics. Jessica has been a nurse since 2009. She excelled in her studies where she achieved an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her graduate degree from Michigan State University. She completed a two-year dermatology residency, where she was invited to stay on the team for years to come. As advances in non-surgical injectable treatments continue, she regularly attends training courses and seminars to keep abreast of the latest techniques, products, procedures and trends.
Jessica prides herself in achieving very natural results for her patients and believes that in most cases a conservative treatment approach is the best way to achieve her signature "untouched", natural and refreshed look. She believes in creating youthful, restorative, and natural results for all of her patients. Her lifelong dream has been to create a space that provides services of all things beauty. NECTAR is just that, a space for your beauty to bloom.
When not perfecting her skills and making people feel their best, Jess is happiest when hitting her favorite barre class, traveling, checking out new restaurants, enjoying outdoors and making memories with her friends, husband and their two children.
AMBER MOERLAND, RN, BSN
As a board certified registered nurse, Amber has joined Nectar bringing 13+ years of nursing experience. She obtained her RN degree from the University of Maui Hawaii College and her BSN degree from University of Michigan. While practicing at a busy dermatology office in Maui, Amber discovered her passion for facial aesthetics and skincare. Her most recent certification is becoming a ZO Skin Health Expert. Amber is thrilled to have joined the team at Nectar, where she can continue to develop and grow in the aesthetics industry.
Amber’s approach to medical aesthetics is to combine her artistry and medical expertise to create customized treatment plans for her patients. She believes that every patient deserves to look and feel like the best versions of themselves, and her philosophy at Nectar is to always provide safe and natural looking results. Her good vibes, contagious smile and ongoing training and education will make you feel comfortable and confident in the treatments she provides. Amber is beyond excited to help her patients feel both beautiful and empowered from the inside out.
When Amber is not pursuing her passions at Nectar, you can find her enjoying time outdoors camping, hiking and gardening. Her family and friends are her top priority, and she loves making new memories with them.
SYDNEY SHAW, LME
SYDNEY SHAW, LME, Master Esthetician
As a board certified licensed medical esthetician, Sydney has specialized in aesthetics for years since entering the field. Having a passion for all things skin, she continuously broadens her knowledge and education on the integumentary system and product mastery. To expand her treatment options of the latest technologies for her clients, Sydney was HFX certified in Chicago for HydraFacial, delivering the best of what the market has to offer.Sydney has been awarded the opportunity to continue her education in the Connect Master Program, inviting her to guest train for HydraFacial. Additionally, she has been officially recognized as ZO Skin Health expert!
Aside from Sydney’s extensive and very specialized experience and training, she has a heart of gold that each of her clients experiences during their appointments and interactions. Her philosophy of client care embodies that of NECTAR… approaching each individual uniquely, treating from the inside out. She prides herself in achieving real, effective, goal oriented results. Her personality shines through with every person that visits NECTAR, assuring that each client is comfortable even when addressing their most vulnerable skin needs. And let’s not forget that she gets the opportunities to simply pamper her clients with many relaxing treatments.
When she is not pursuing her passion of skin health for her clients, she enjoys exploring nature, fishing, traveling, working out, and spending time with her friends and family.
EMILEE WALTERS, LME, Master Esthetician
Emilee is a Master Aesthetician and has been in the industry since 2011. Over the years she has worked in Cleveland, Beverly Hills, And Washington DC. Emilee specializes in Hydrafacial treatments, Dermaplaning, Microneedling, and Chemical Peels. For over a decade her method is combining medical result driven treatments with a relaxing spa experience to bring her clients the best of both worlds.
She has struggled with acne in the past and truly understands the process of healing the skin from the inside out. Building a relationship and trust with her clients is her main passion and focus. When she isn’t providing treatments at Nectar, Emilee is a part time Licensed Esthetic Instructor at Douglas J Institute in East Lansing.
In her free time she loves spending time with her family, reading, and doing anything art related.

Amy Chard serves as our dedicated Office Manager, bringing a wealth of expertise and knowledge to Nectar, ensuring excellence in service and an unparalleled patient experience.
With a background in Human Resources, business management, and customer service, Amy is an invaluable asset to our organization with over 15 years of experience in managing teams, processes, and the intricacies of daily operations with a keen focus on service excellence. To stay at the forefront of industry trends and maintain a service-oriented mindset, Amy is dedicated to ongoing education and professional development. She helps ensure that the entire team is well-trained and equipped to provide the highest level of service to our valued guests.
Amy believes that every interaction, from the initial point of contact to ongoing patient care, contributes to the overall experience. Her passion for people and service excellence is reflected in her proactive approach to addressing patient needs and ensuring a seamless and positive experience at every touchpoint.
With a heart for community, Amy finds enjoyment in fostering connections. She believes that strong relationships are the foundation for a thriving community. With a passion for athletics, Amy enjoys cheering from the sidelines and participating in a variety of sports. She loves to be active, spend time with family and friends, and enjoys all four seasons that Michigan has to offer. Amy runs a busy household with her husband, Mark, and their four children. Born and raised in the Upper Peninsula, Amy loves to return “home” and create memories with her family through travel and new experiences.
