New Roots Workshop offers something different

A space where young people can learn new vocational skills, flexibly and at their own pace. Experienced staff will teach trade based skills, sharing their knowledge, whilst guiding young people to embed these skills in their future pathways to employment.

In our positive workshop environment young people develop interpersonal skills, solve problems, think critically and creatively, as well as build positive relationships with others.

Our approach

Delivered in a dedicated workshop environment New Roots Workshop offers young people the opportunity to re-engage with their learning, in a space outside a classroom setting.

Young people set their own objectives in response to their needs, challenges and curiosity, in a space where they can find and engage in tasks that help them to learn.

Offered on an intervention basis, we support young people at risk of exclusion, with poor attendance or struggling with the school or college environment.

We plan our sessions to meet the needs of each individual young person.

OUR YOUNG PEOPLE WILL LEARN TRADE BASED, VOCATIONAL SKILLS INCLUDING:

CARPENTRY BRICKLAYING PLUMBING PLASTERING

AND OTHER ASSOCIATED TRADES
