AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - This week, three new businesses are opening: a restaurant, a movie theatre, and a department store.

The department store bealls is opening Thursday, March 28 on Bell Street, in Puckett Plaza.

Thursday kicks off a weekend-long grand opening event with entertainment, local food vendors and gift card giveaways.

The first 100 people in line will receive a gift card to bealls.

“We’ve got everything for the whole family,” said Savannah Anderson, district manager for bealls. “We’ve got infant, baby, toddler, boys, girls, men, a little bit of everything.”

bealls also has women’s clothing, shoes, houseware and gifts.

The Amarillo location represents the 87th bealls store in Texas.

Scene One Cinema

Scene One Cinema opens today at the Westgate Mall.

The theater used to be a second run, meaning it runs movies that have been out for a while.

Now, it’s a first-run theatre, bringing movies that have just come out.

Today only, all tickets will be $3 for Singin’ in the Rain, Elvis, Oppenheimer, Wizard of Oz, Barbie and the Lego movie.

Scene One says ticket pricing will be the lowest in the area.

Sai Indian Cuisine

Sai Indian Cuisine is open on Olsen.

The restaurant opened on Monday.

The 7-day lunch buffet is from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner is from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

For this week only, there are discounts available.

The buffet has 15 to 20 items and vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
