Transfer students at Commencement

Transfer Center

North Central recognizes and celebrates the many ways transfer students strengthen, enrich and diversify our campus community. We are committed to transfer student academic and social integration, and to providing a transfer-affirming culture on campus. We provide initiatives designed to improve the transfer student experience by intentionally and overtly addressing the unique needs of our transfer students.

North Central’s Transfer Center serves current students who have transferred to NCC. If you are a prospective transfer student, please use the link below to guide your application process.

The Center

The Center, located in Seybert Hall (208 Loomis Street) is a dedicated space for new and continuing transfer students to connect, study and get transfer-specific information and resources. The Center provides study tables, computers, a printing/copying machine, resource information, a microwave, refrigerator, lockers for commuters, and our Transfer Treats & Tea Counter.

Transfer Student Network

Transfer Student Network Leaders

Our transfer student leaders are current transfer students who mentor new transfer students while developing their own leadership, mentorship, communication, and public speaking skills. Reach out to them with any questions or to request a meeting. They are experienced and knowledgeable about the transfer student experience, and you are welcome to reach out to them with any questions or request a one-on-one meeting (in person or virtual).

Community Events

Each month, one campus event will be designated as the Transfer Student Network community event. Our student leaders will set a designated meeting place and time prior to the event.

Brown Bag Lunches

Our weekly Brown Bag Lunches are a space for transfer students to meet other transfer students and student leaders, and discuss topics that are important to the transfer community. These are informal, drop in gatherings facilitated by the Transfer Student Network Leaders and our Transfer Center Graduate Assistant. Thursdays at Noon in the Transfer Center.
