We make language therapy fun, playful and engaging. We create customized treatment plans and utilize your child's interests to address both receptive and expressive language challenges. These might include difficulties following directions, answering questions, expanding their vocabulary, or using age-appropriate grammar and descriptive language. Language therapy will help your child: • Follow directions • Understand and answer questions • Increase their vocabulary and the use of age-appropriate grammar • Develop conversational skills These skills will help your child more effectively participate in conversations as well as improve their ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with family and peers.

parent coaching

parent coaching

Parents are an integral part of each child's learning. We provide parent education and coaching to empower you with the tools to support your child’s communication within daily routines. You will receive creative ways to support your child's unique speech and language journey during normal everyday activities like book reading, meal times, playtime, riding in the car, or going to the park or store. When parents get involved in their child’s learning, it also fosters a deeper bond as they learn and grow together.

Aubrey Johnson, M.A., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

I am a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with children in outpatient clinics and private practice settings. I opened Now We're Talking to provide children and their families with personalized and compassionate therapy that focuses on what really matters: helping kids to improve their confidence and communication skills. I am dedicated to building connections with every child and family I serve and ensuring my clients feel taken care of.

As a mom of 3, I have learned first-hand that every child has a unique set of strengths and challenges. When we embrace children for who they are and

focus on developing a strong connection, we can increase their confidence and motivation to try new, hard things. The results we see are amazing.

"My 4-year-old son has made remarkable progress since he has been attending speech therapy.  There is no doubt that he enjoys each session, as he literally "jumps" into the car to be taken to speech sessions.  As parents we feel blessed to have our son's therapy led by Mrs. Aubrey Johnson.  There is no doubt about her exceptional skills and professionalism.  Mrs. Aubrey is very patient and kind, making the sessions so warm and comfortable for all children."

"Avery was barely speaking when I brought her to see Ms. Melissa last year!  Now, Avery is speaking in full sentences and saying some sounds beyond her age abilities!  I couldn't be more excited about her progress!

Speech therapy really made a difference!"
