If you plan to leave the country, Pharmacy 101 offers a Travel Clinic to help you prepare and protect your health. Our Travel Health Education Pharmacist will help educate and provide appropriate immunizations to all travelers.
Please fill out this Travel Clinic form and return it to Pharmacy 101 (drop off to Pharmacy or email). Our Travel Pharmacist will review your itinerary and medical information and you will be contacted to book an appointment. Although it is never too late to receive travel safety health information, it is best to have the pre-travel consultation appointment booked 1 to 2 months before departure. This allows for timely provision of certain travel vaccinations.
The cost of the Pre-Travel Consultation is $50 for one individual or $80 for a family when seen together and all traveling to the same destination. A tax receipt will be issued for submission to eligible drug plans or for income tax purposes. Vaccines and recommended travel-related medications, based on individualized risk, are billed to all applicable drug plans and are not included in the pre-travel clinic assessment cost.

Why do travelers require a pre-travel consultation?
The pre-travel consultation is a dedicated appointment designed to prepare the traveler for the health concerns that might arise during their time abroad. During the pre-travel clinic consultation, the Travel Pharmacist will:
Review the traveler’s trip plans and discuss how to minimize and manage potential health concerns
Individualize recommendations for the traveler based on where the traveler is going, what the traveler’s planned activities are while abroad, and in light of the traveler’s current and past medical history and current medications
Provide immunizations for vaccine-preventable diseases and medications for prevention, self-treatment, or both
Educate and empower the traveler to manage his/her health during the trip through counselling and prevention messages
