Can I access any Remedy Health clinic?
Yes! As a Remedy member, you can see a Remedy doctor at any Remedy clinic if needed. If you need to see a different doctor while you're out-of-state or traveling, your Remedy physician is reachable 24/7/365 by phone, text, and email. They can coordinate your care from afar, whether it is calling in a medication to a local pharmacy or arranging for you to see a direct primary care doctor out of state.
Do you have physicians who speak Spanish?
¡Sí! We have several doctors who speak Spanish fluently.
Is my family covered?
Absolutely! Anyone in your immediate family can become a member at Remedy Health.
Have a large family? Don't worry - the maximum per month is $229.
Is there a cancellation fee? Or how do I cancel my membership?
There is no cancellation fee. Membership can stop or start at any time. Canceling is as easy as texting a Remedy Health staff person.
Is there an enrollment fee (startup cost)?
Nope! The monthly rate you pay for care is all you pay.
Is this health insurance?
No. Direct primary care is not a replacement for insurance. Roughly 80-90 percent of all health care needs can be handled by a primary care doctor, but, depending on your situation, you may need coverage for the remaining care such as specialty care, surgeries, or for true emergencies. Many DPC members carry some form of insurance, and still enjoy the cost-savings and less interaction with their insurance company.
What are the costs of prescriptions on this plan? Are prescriptions covered on this plan?
Prescription medications are cash priced and available onsite or through local pharmacy partners. The average prescription cost is $5.60.
What happens if I need to go to the emergency room?
Your Remedy Health personal physician is always your first point of contact for any health-related questions or concerns. Your Remedy Health doc will discuss your concerns and guide you to appropriate care, including emergency room care if needed. Emergency room services are not included in the Remedy Health benefit.
What if I have to take a semester off?
No problem! We understand life happens. Your membership will not change. You will continue to have unlimited anytime access to your personal physician. Your health is our top priority.
What is direct primary care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is subscription-based health care. For one flat, monthly membership rate, you get unlimited, unfettered access to your primary care doctor, plus a wide range of services beyond just primary care.
What is the minimum number of hours I need to be enrolled at TCC to qualify for the plan?
1 hour. Really! Any student of TCC, regardless of the number of hours enrolled, is eligible for the TCC + Remedy Health student membership benefit.
