Although it wasn’t Doreen Sobioch’s idea to move her bike shop last month, she said her new location has a nicer look.

Days Roll By, a retail and repair business, had to move out of its Loveland home of three and a half years on North Lincoln Avenue. Sobioch landed in a space about a mile north, at 2650 N. Lincoln Ave., Unit B.

“The old place was like a repair shop,” she said. “It wasn’t quite as presentable as a retail bike shop. It’s a step up for us.”

She opened the day after Thanksgiving in the new space, which is on the end of the Advantage Automotive building.

The shop has about 100 bikes in stock, ranging from a prewar cruiser to modern-day road bikes. The brands are classics: Raleigh, Schwinn, Trek, Specialized.

“They’re reconditioned. We put them back to their former glory,” she said. “A lot of times, people come in and say, ‘This is like a museum.'”

The 1,000-square-foot space is Days Roll By’s third location in its eight years of existence, but Sobioch started reconditioning and selling bikes as an 11-year-old in her hometown outside Chicago.

Days Roll By is open during the winter from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday and by appointment. For more information, call 970-481-4339.
