I will never use Devlin Plumbing again. When I first called , I said I needed someone to look at my toilets in my condo to see if they could be fixed or replaced. I was told they would be out here Thursday or Friday. I called back on Friday and was told it would be Wednesday. When I hadn't heard by noon Wednesday. I called and they were already installing new toilets. The following Saturday one of the toilets started to leak and the other two were rocking. John from Devlin came back and said the new toilet needed a new ring which he did. The toilet leaked again. A new plumber came out and found that the tank plug was cracked. He also was able to stabilize the other two toilets. He had to get approval to replace the tank. The tank was replaced a few days later. The manager finally called and reduced the the bill for the ring and said he would look to see if he could do more. I never heard back from him. I believe they did work that was not needed and did that work poorly. As I said at the start, I will not use them again. John G. 08/25/21 |

Devlin was hired to run a new water main to our house from the street. It involved using a ditch witch to dig out a trench which was approx 65 ft long. It was inevitable that a sprinkler line or 2 would get cut. No problem though, as John who is a Master plumber repaired everything back to normal, and completed the job successfully! John with Devlin came out for the repair to our sewage pump the very next morning and did a great job. This was the third time he has had to come out for the same problem. His work is very good, he’s very knowledgeable. However, he has to repeatedly come out to rectify what was a very poor installation when our home was built 5 years ago. Tom arrived early and updated me on his progress. To avoid leaving my project in a lurch, Tom called in John to assist him. These men stayed late to finish the project. This was a disaster from start to finish. Called on Monday morning- got an answering service-was told someone would be out that afternoon. I called late in the day and was told the service had not passed on the info ( although my name and address were in the system). Had to wait for Wednesday at 4pm before anyone showed up. After 45 minutes or so, was told he needed to order a cartridge and would have to come back . The office made an appt for Friday "after lunch". At 3:45 I called again and was told he would be there in a few minutes. He installed the cartridge...but the tub faucet still leaked. He said it perhaps needed the "other" cartridge replaced. Twice we discussed that the office would call me this Monday to schedule another appointment after the other part had been ordered. It is now Thursday, and I've heard nothing. Tom E. 04/22/21 |

My water heater broke on a Sunday. I had my whole family of 9 coming in on Wednesday. The few I called could not come out in time. I received a new washing machine, and unfortunately the guy who delivered was unable to get the old hot water hose off, and replace it with a new one. I called Devlin and lucky for me they had just had a cancellation so Tom was able to come over right away. The challenge was cutting off the old hose without damaging the thread, and he was able to do it saving me the expense of having to replace the entire connection. I call John, the mad scientist. He had to figure out the problem! I had 3 other companies at my home first. 2 of 3 told me that it was the cold weather. One wanted to change my thermostate.
