HELPING MIGRANTS IN DOWNTOWN BY PROVIDING NEEDED HEALTHCARE

EL PASO, Texas -- As the temperatures continue to drop in downtown El Paso, migrants on the streets with no shelter have to deal with the cold conditions.

El Pasoans have noticed, and some have been downtown near the Greyhound station to help the migrants out by handing out food, warm clothing, blankets, and even medical care.

KFOX INTERVIEW ON PROVIDING MOBILE MEDICAL SERVICES CONVENIENTLY

Daytime on KFOX14 spoke to the Managing Partner, Carlos Alarcon who explained what makes the organization so unique.

The staff consists of EMT’s, paramedics, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants and an emergency physician that guides the organization.

ASSISTING IN SEARCHING FOR MISSING HIKER LOCALLY

Search crews continue to look for a missing and injured hiker in the Guadalupe Mountains National Park who has been missing since Friday.

A spokesperson with the National Park Service said the search began on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and continued until the early morning hours of Saturday along the Guadalupe Peak trail.

The search continued at daylight.

PRIVATE EL PASO MEDICAL COMPANY HELPS RESIDENTS GET COVID TEST FASTER

Managing Partner Michael Sarabia says the company felt obligated to step in after seeing some individuals turned away at public testing sites in El Paso.

The company has rented out a parking lot in the east side (located at 12343 Paseo Nuevo Drive) and performs drive-thru testing three times each week.

PARTNERING WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The El Paso Chamber held its annual gala on Nov. 4 at the El Paso Country Club. 

​

The sold-out event honored the following award winners: Marcos Lozano, ambassador of the year; Dinorah Vazquez, volunteer of the year; RevIVe Medical, PLLC, small business of the year; Chase Bank, large business of the year; and LiftFund, nonprofit of the year.

The chamber was founded in 1899 and has grown to over 1,400 members across El Paso.

HELPING STUDENTS

When asked to donate school supplies to students who might need it, we gladly offered to come out and give out the supplies in person. It is not enough to just help with our money, we wanted to see the students and let them know they can count on the support of local El Pasoans.

TEACHING STOP THE BLEED 

Manty local school districts had expressed an interested in staff knowing critical info on how to properly stop the bleed in case they ever need to save a life. We came out quickly and trained the staff on how to STOP THE BLEED.
