      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Kilo Two Bravo honors its fact-based story with an almost unbearably tense drama that captures the horrors -- and the human cost -- of modern warfare.

Dan After serving in Afghanistan myself this movie hits the British Army mentality and attitude 100%. If you don't like it for what it is then you've never been in that sort of situation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/24 Full Review Alfie C Don't believe for one second what some of these muppets are saying in their reviews. This movie is one of the most realistic war films ever made to date, and the twats who claim that they were idiots for getting into that minefield have absolutely zero knowledge on what the Afghan war was like for the soldiers who fought it, let alone the intensity of having to treat multiple casualties in a minefield. I do understand if it's found a bit boring, as it does drag on for some time, but to call them idiotic or stupid is extremely disrespectful coming from some bloke who's closest experience of war was playing COD back in 2010. Absolutely brilliant film, ten out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/24/23 Full Review Paul B One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Gripped me all the way through, great British humour throughout, the acting was exemplary and it made me feel so proud that we have lads like this serving and placing their lives on the line for us. Hugely recommended! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/28/23 Full Review Gareth v A tense and relentless movie based on a true incident in Afghanistan. One of the best movies made about the war in Afghanistan. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review steve c It's one thing to die. It's another to do so in pain. Frak these peoples who use landmines. What happened to the pledge to ban land mines, in response to Princess Di's death? Was it only the west who did so? If so, all the more frak those people who are still using them. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Simon K Ex army Served in Afghan on Herrick 6 and Herrick 9. This is as real as it gets. Liz Braun Toronto Sun Kilo Two Bravo is one of the most intense anti-war films extant. Rated: 4/5 Nov 13, 2015 Full Review Brad Wheeler Globe and Mail Mines detonate, the men hold on, the humour is the gallows' kind and the audience's gut is as tight as the tourniquets on the hurt soldiers' stumps. Rated: 3.5/4 Nov 13, 2015 Full Review Linda Barnard Toronto Star An intimate, unforgettable examination of war. Rated: 3/4 Nov 12, 2015 Full Review James Marsh South China Morning Post By casting unknowns, Katis only ratchets up the tension more, leaving his audiences breathless throughout, unable to second guess who might make it out alive. Rated: 4/5 Aug 22, 2016 Full Review Zach Hollwedel Under the Radar An arguably anti-war depiction of true events, yet one that expertly eschews the mawkish or sanctimonious didacticism such films frequently espouse. Rated: 6.5/10 Dec 9, 2015 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue ... more focused on character-driven moments than elaborate battlefield conflicts, yet it ratchets up the tension effectively.
