SCElite continues NB progression of lightweigThe SC elite hits all the right boxes with it's smooth lightweight cushion and serious rebound system NB started down this road with the TC and RC elite and they get better and better. The SCE is a little snug but stretches some after a few runs. Some might like the snug racing fit, others might want to size up for more comfort. Initially the upper was too tight across the instep and midfoot for me but now it provides a nice compression on tendons running down my instep(tops of feet). AND THE Rw price is actually a bargain. A paid less than $169 but the next version will be $250. Grab these while you can. Prices keep going up up up

Fantastic shoeI will start out by saying I am a new balance fan. I have been a fan of almost every running shoe and clothing article they have made. Consistently great fit, and always great performance. This is my first “super comp” shoe. I’ve wanted this particular pair for a long time. They didn’t disappoint. I will say, that little pain point every other review has mentioned on the upper right ankle is definitely there but went away after mile 3. Every shoe has little quirks like that. But I can definitely see how it’s unbearable for someone with a slightly different shaped foot / ankle. That said, id recommend these. They are insanely light, very fast, and have a great bounce. My only knock is they are slightly less supportive than I would have imagined.

Wanted to love these…I really wanted to love these shoes. Unfortunately, the seam at the base of the tongue is unnecessarily large and pushes on a pressure point in the top of my feet after about 10 miles. It was painful enough, that I swapped back to my Rebels mid- run.

Fuel cell sc elite v3 race shoeExcellent race shoe. I like it better than my hoka carbon x3.

very cushioned, but poorly constructed upper.I liked the shoes cushion for quick long runs and tempo runs. They were not snappy enough for racing, but the real problem was the upper dug into the ankle. I was bloodied after one twelve mile run and had to send them back. If that problem is fixed with the v4s, I would consider them a nice trainer.

A good trainerDespite not being as bouncy as the Alpha Fly’s, these are light, comfortable and very fast shoes. In relation to the fit, I would say that they’re on the small side. Great for mid distance repeats, haven’t tried them on any race yet.

Awesome shoeI had been having incredible Achilles pain with another brand, I WENT BACK to NB and the supercomp elite v3 and almost instantly the pain was gone! They have great stability and bounce (Best of both worlds), and the arch is satisfying to my high arch feet.

Solid racing shoePicked up a pair of these when on sale as a training shoe for tempos and track workouts. I race in the Nike Alphaflys, and these haven’t quite knocked those off as my primary racing shoes, it is very close. Lightweight shoe, good bounce and a responsive feel. Some may not like the cloth upper as it is not rigid and may not tie down for some, but I had no issues. Only drawback for me is the exposed carbon plate can collect debris, but overall performance and look blew away expectations

NB SC Elite v3I am a huge fan of these shoes! I was a bit skeptical when my friends told me that they liked the shoes more than the Nike Vaporflys, but after a month of using these I can confidently say that I enjoy them equally as much as the Vaporflys! I use these shoes for mile pace workouts on the track as well as my long runs. These shoes are lightweight and fast, but also cushioned enough to last 16 mile long run!

Good quality and accurate infoThe running shoes I received were exactly as the ones were offered. The process through Running warehouse is very straightforward, I constantly could check the status of my order. Regarding my NB FC super comb V3: I found them really comfortable and fast!

Marathon cruiserI picked this up on a whim and I have been pleasantly surprised. The combination of the very soft fuel cell, the plate, and the upper is a very comfy, smooth ride. I have had some knee and hip pain in my Vaporflys after half marathons, but in the SC Elite v3 - no pain at all after a full marathon! I think I attribute this to the lower drop. The shoe doesn't feel aggressive, but feels smooth, predictable, and keeps you in rhythm turning over and over. The durability also seems great, the marathon was on dirt and rock trail and it held up surprisingly well.

Almost perfectI love everything about this shoe expect I started to experience rubbing on the top part of my foot no matter what socks I try. I even tried foot tape it's extremely painful what a shame because everything else about them is great.

Great Shoe on The Run, A Bit Weird Before...Never had a "Supershoe" before this, but for $140 I couldn't pass up the chance. On the run: This shoe feels fantastic, it protects my legs well over 14-20 miles, and I can tell it helps with the turnover on those later miles when my legs start wanting to stop. It handles every pace well, whether im going tempo or an easy cruise, it really does it all. I love the sock like upper, and find no major issues during my runs. On a few occasions, I have noticed a very slight rubbing on my little toe, but it always seems to disappear after a mile or two. Before the Run: It is....a weird sensation, because when I put the shoes on, it feels like there is TONS of heel slip. The thing is, that slip never manifests while I run, so I think its just either a quirk of the upper, or potentially even my footshape. I am also not a huge fan of the lacing, they definitely need some fine tuning and tweaking to get them feeling just right, BUT I would gladly trade this for that lovely sock like upper material.

I love it and I do notI’ve run 5 times for a total of 50 miles in the NB SC Elite V3. Four of the times I thought it was a dream shoe. The sock like upper was very comfortable and the midsole is soft and responsive. The rocker sensation is as good as any shoe I’ve ever run in. But one of the five runs was not good. The stitching where the sock merges with the tongue irritated my foot and caused a blister. I needed to adjust the lacing. If not for the bad run, I would have given it a five star.

I love them....BUTI love these shoes! They are just what I have been looking for to run the NY Marathon this fall. They are such a great Price too! I can even live with white running shoes. BUT.... I have tried them with several different pairs of socks to try to help, and there continues to be a slight little rub on the left ankle where the upper and heal have a seam. It is not a problem on the right at all. I did read a review that the "pinch"goes away after a few miles, but don't want to run in them and then return them. Or can I? Hmmmm..... I just can't have any pinching or rubbing on shoes I plan to run 26.2 miles in. I sadly think I will have to return these. :(

Nice shoe for those that like a mellow rideI have run in RC Elite 1,2 and now 3. The RC3 combines the good and bad of the first two shoes. RC1 was a bit too soft to the point that I had ankle issues. RC2 seemed to help with stability, but I found it too soft (did not get as much energy return as I would have liked). RC3 seems to resolve both of these issue. My once concern is the high collar around the ankle. It is noticible while walking, but once I start running, the feeling goes away. Some reviewers have indicated issues with rubbing at the top lace area. I believe it is related to a preference to getting a solid lock-down. I tend to tie down shoes more loose as I get lace bite/arch issues. Therefore, I didn't get any irritation. Overall, I like the shoe for more relaxed marathon-paced long runs. I still prefer the Vaporfly Next % 2 for races. At the current discounted price, I think it is a great value.

Amazing sale product!I had my eye on these and wasn't sold because of the sock-like upper. They went on sale though and I couldn't pass up a super shoe for only $140! Ive run in them a couple times now ( track and tempo run) and they're awesome! The tongue is still a mystery to me and make them unable to be used for triathlon but all in all I think it's a great option to grab right now for the price.

Awesome shoeI really enjoy running in this shoe. Most carbon plated racers are only good if you are running fast in them. But not this one. This one feels really good whether you are jogging at 8:30 per mile pace or getting down to 5:00 per mile. I also hear a lot of people having issues with the lockdown at the heel and rubbing issues at the ankle. I have experienced none of that luckily. This shoe is definitely a good option.

Hard to lock heel/ankle inI tried really hard to forge a relationship with this super cushy lightweight shoe, but I had a difficult time trying to get my ankle locked in. I even tried changing the laces to the bungee kind, but still the laces only dug the top of my foot and ankle. Perhaps it’s the too thin of a tongue. Short distance, medium distance, long distance, both on treadmill and road, I could not find the sweet spot with the lacing system.

what a dealThis shoe use to be 230 dollars and is currently on clearance for only 140$ at 7.6 oz you get 40 mm of heel stack !!!!!! try to find that anywhere else good luck it's not happening. it had a plate too and is meant to go fast it is geared towards being a marathon shoe because it will eat a lot of miles but I will be using it as a 5k road racing shoe that I will also use for xc road training in a couple of weeks and with a shoe like this on my feet I know I will be right there in the lead or close to the leader this is a super shoe that is a lot cheaper and will baby your feet so you can recover even quicker for your next workout

Toe-off Traction LackingI love the SC FuelCell Trainer v1 and will likely get the updated v2 at some point. However, despite the great light weight of the SC Elite v3 and the FuelCell heel and midfoot, there is something I could not achieve in the SC Elite v3 toe box. I could not get toe grip traction for pushing off. This may have something to do with the stack height at heel and drop and rocker, I really don't know. But if you find that you don't get the toe splay you need and connect with the ground well with the toes, it's seems to be an issue, especially at high speeds and hill climbs.

Major upgradeI’m training for a 24 hour run, and plan to use these for the race. I’ve run two 30 mi runs in them so far and have been super impressed. They are a major upgrade over v2 - completely different shoe, for the better. My legs are noticeably less fatigued after the long runs, and I’m able to run the next day without beat up. The pop in the shoes is noticeable even at a 8min/mi.

Bouncy and yet snappyThis is a great pairing with the NB supercomp pro trainer or the 1080. Lighter and faster. No foot pain for me in the Boston Marathon unlike a previous marathon in Saucony Endorphin pros ( which they might have fixed, idk.) It has a wider D toe box typical of NB, so it fits like the rest of the NB lineup

Seems like a good shoe, but not for my feetBought these shoes in hopes to get a race day shoe for a marathon. Currently run in the 1080's with flatter arches and a bunion on my left foot. I felt the arches in these shoes felt awkward and my feet were caving into the arch, that put some stress on my knees. Also the foam was very cushiony in the heels and I'm not a heel striker so the way my foot contacted on the bottom of the shoe felt weird with the support. Again, seems like a great shoe, just not compatible for my foot

5 stars with one caveatTL:DR, put a bandaid on before running to prevent ankle issues, and they're fabulous! Full review: I read a million reviews of these before buying them, and there are a ton of bad reviews because they dig into some people's ankles. People who didn't have that issue raved about them, so I thought it was worth giving them a try. When I put them on, I could feel them digging into the outside of my right ankle, but they felt great otherwise. I put a blister bandaid on my ankle in advance, and the feeling went away immediately, so I decided to try running in them. They're super comfortable, didn't give me any issues, and I ran 13 miles 7.5 minutes faster than I ran the same distance 2 weeks before wearing Ghosts. Can't wait to see what happens at my marathon in a couple of weeks! Side note: I didn't have any issues with putting them on or the lacing system, which others have complained about - I guess that's a matter of preference?

Excellent plated shoeI have to agree with Masters 2x below. I tried the Saucony Endorphin Pro and Speed, along with an earlier Nike plated shoe and decided they were just not for me. My achilles hated them. I have been running in the Fuel Cell Rebel and have loved that shoe. Decided to try the plated shoes one more time, going with the fuel cell elite v3. So far I am loving this shoe. Able to really pick up the speed without the effort. It did take me a couple runs to get used to them, it is a different feel from the rebel, but now it is just fun to run in. The lacing system is not my favorite, that took a little getting used to, but for me it is a fairly minor issue. This shoe along with the rebel is my rotation moving forward.

Cant go wrong with FuelCell!I think in the beginning, the assumption was that carbon/elite shoes were all usable for long distances. That was not the case , or at least not the case for me. (I could hardly get a 5k in with the Asics Metaspeed Sky for example). New Balance FuelCell technology has been the top material in my opinion in mid-sole technology since it arrived on seen. With the exception of the SuperComp pacers, all other fuel cell road shoes are highly capable, comfortable and user friendly for marathon racing and up. The two main selling points for the FuelCell Elite's are that 1. They are made of the fuelcell material and that implies a ton, comfort, responsiveness, energy return, etc... 2. These shoes are by far, the most user friendly elite carbon racing shoes of all the elite shoes on the market (and I have tried nearly all of them). Also, the upper material is perfect. I have to say that the upper material of the NB Fuel Cell Elite is also the most comfortable foot conforming upper material of all elite racing shoes as well. So for me, my elite carbon shoe of choice is a no brainer, with the best midsole material and the best upper, that by default can tell you what my favorite elite racing shoe is (and pretty much my favorite shoe period). For a stricter budget, the FuelCell Rebel I find, is also better than a lot of the premium elite shoes and wood certainly be my choice above many more of the super expensive elite choices for race day. For me, the best shoe rotation I have is the Fuel Cell Elite, the Fuel Cell Rebel and the highly understated Fuel Cell SuperComp Trainor - probably the funnest and most comfortable max cushion shoes I own.

Great bouncy foam, poor ankle collar. The shoe is super light and the foam is really awesome and bouncy. My only concern was the ankle collar. After my first and second times wearing them both of my outside ankle bones were raw. The insides are fine. It seems that the outside collar is really high and rubs the outside of the ankle. Had to return them. Thanks.

Not a good fit for meWas hoping these would be my half marathon shoe, but didn't turn out to be so. Did a 4 mile treadmill run and everything was fine (except lockdown wasn't the best) but then did an 8 mile run today and lockdown once again was an issue and I got a pretty good blister on my left ankle where the shoe was rubbing. Like the midsole feel and feel of the shoe while running, but no way I'm taking these out again after a blister and the poor lockdown for me. WIll be returning these and sticking with my Endorphin pro 3's.

NYC Raceday ShoeGreat shoe! Comfortable! A great carbon plated shoe for average sized foot widths. It doesn't feel like it has the pop of an Endorphin Pro but more forgiving over the longer distances. The foam gets more firm in colder temps but remains plush enough to keep the legs fresh. The booty type upper is a little tough to get into the first couple of time but loosens. The lock down can be tricky to not get too tight or too loose but the shoe does not move around much. The shoe looks fast and is!

Great Shoe with 1 exceptionI loved everything about this shoe except for the lacing system. I could not get a good lockdown with out tying it so tight that the laces hurt the top of my feet. There's no way to do a runner's loop to help with the lockdown. If it had the same lacing system as the SC Trainer, it would be outstanding. If you don't have trouble with the lockdown, you'll love this shoe. It's way better than the RC 2.
