This multi-purpose product combines three active ingredients 2,4-D 30.56%, mecoprop-p 8.17%, dicamba 2.77% which gives controls over 33 types of broadleaf weeds such as ground ivy or ragweed.

3-Way Lawn Weed Killer is a low odor product that can easily be applied to numerous sites through spot or broadcast applications.

Tools Needed

To use 3-Way Lawn Weed Killer, you will need either a handheld pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. For spot applications, use a handheld pump sprayer. Broadcast applications may be done with a backpack sprayer.

Aerial application is prohibited. This product cannot be applied through any type of irrigation equipment.

How to Use

Spraying Turf

  • Step 1: For best results, turf should not be mowed for 1 to 2 days before and after application. Determine how much 3-Way Lawn Weed Killer to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment site. To find this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiply (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 = acre). The application rate for cool-seasoned grasses and listed warm-seasoned grasses is 1.1 to 1.5 oz. of 3-Way Lawn Weed Killer per 0.5 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For acreage applications of cool-seasoned grasses and listed warm-seasoned grasses use 3 to 4 pints per 5 gallons of water per acre. For dormant St. Augustine and Centipedegrass, apply 0.75 to 0.9 oz. of product per 0.5 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Acreage applications for dormant St. Augustine and Centipedegrass, will use 2 to 2.5 pints of product per 4 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rates for ornamental turf and those grown for seed or sod.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with the required amount of water, add the measured amount of 3-Way Lawn Weed Killer, and then pour in the remaining half of water. Agitate the sprayer until solution is evenly-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of leaves and stems until wet, but not to the point of run-off. Avoid overapplication of treated areas to prevent turf injury. Reseed no-sooner than 3 to 4 weeks after application of this product.

Where to Use

3-Way Lawn Weed Killer may be used in turfgrasses on golf courses (fairways, aprons, tees, roughs), sod farms, highways, right-of-ways, residential lawns, industrial lawns, institutional lawns, ornamental turfs, parks, cemeteries, athletic fields, turf grown for seed or sod, and non-cropland (fence rows, hedge rows, roadsides (including aprons and guardrails), ditches, right-of-ways, utility, power lines, railroads, airports, and industrial sites).

Do not use this product in or near greenhouses or within 25 feet of rivers, fish ponds, lakes, streams, reservoirs, marshes, estuaries, bays, and oceans. You may also not spray on newly seeded grasses until well-established.

Avoid product mist to vegetables, flowers, ornamentals, shrubs, trees, and other desired plants. Do not pour spray solutions near these plants.

Especially effective on Creeping Charlie (Ground Ivy)
I bought 3-Way Lawn Weed Killer primarily to get rid of Creeping Charlie. It worked. I had to spot-spray some areas a second time. Other “weed killers” didn’t kill the Creeping Charlie. I’m very satisfied with how 3-Way worked.
