How Soul Story Therapy Began

Like you, we have a story. Years ago, our founder Hanna discovered she had a natural tendency to connect with others. She was always willing to help people and was drawn to ensuring the wellness of others.​

Those are great qualities, but pleasing other people doesn’t always equal to being happy yourself. Hanna appeared happy on the outside, but on the inside, she struggled with anxiety, low self-esteem, and other insecurities. Like many of us, these internal struggles caused Hanna to experience some difficult times, even while welcoming blessings into her life. Of this time, Hanna says, “I believe our toughest moments are our greatest teachers, and I am forever grateful for the growth that was gained from that time.”​

Hanna’s healing journey started taking root shortly after she graduated from college. She was working in a group home with troubled teenagers. This was her first experience working with people to improve their mental health. She decided to return to college and complete a master’s in Social Work. She says, “Emotional wellness is a huge factor in success in many aspects of life. Athletes, actors, and successful business leaders often embrace the help of mental health professionals to take care of their inner selves and to stay at the top of their game. Our goal at Soul Story is to help anyone who wants to care for their whole self – mind, body, and spirit.”​

Today, Hanna is a busy mom, wife, and therapist. She opened Soul Story Therapy in 2021 and found like-minded therapists to join her in creating an environment that is welcoming, nonjudgmental, and comfortable.
