The album is in a traditional Georgia-bred country music style and was conceived as a tribute to Wainwright’s family, friends, faith and community.
Wainwright originally hails from Brunswick, Georgia, and currently lives in South Georgia with his wife and five children. He grew up listening to names like Alan Jackson, Sawyer Brown, Garth Brooks and Travis Tritt, among others.
“Hey Y’all” is produced by Gary Baker, who has produced for Lonestar and Alabama. Wainwright has co-writing credits on all of the songs. Other writers are Baker and Greg Barnhill, with additional writing from Jeff King and Matt Johnson.

In a statement, Wainwright says: “I’m so excited to share my debut album with the world. The process of making this record with award-winning musicians like Gary Baker and Greg Barnhill has been beyond my wildest dreams, and I’m so proud of what we’ve created together. This album is a tribute to my family and friends, my faith and my Georgia upbringing, and I hope it brings listeners a bit of Southern hospitality wherever they are.”
In addition to the already released singles, the 13-song album includes “Hero in Your Eyes,” “One Day They Won’t,” “A Good Story,” “If You Woulda Stayed,” “If You Knew Georgia,” “I Like Coming Back,” “American Hearts,” “El Camino,” “I’m Just Reminding Me,” “Hit the Ground Running” and “Show ‘Em All.”
“A Song Will Bring You Back,” the latest single, shouts out hits he grew up with such as “Dixieland Delight,” “Neon Moon” and “Check Yes Or No.”
