    Description

Are you homeschooling this year but are unsure about joining a co-op? Not sure how you would be able to meet with the ever changing regulations? Does the cost of a co-op or the work involved in just doing it alone seem overwhelm you? Why not start your own co-op with this Homeschool Co-Op Starter Kit?

This bundle will help you start your own co-op. It is designed for elementary and middle school students to gather and explore a variety of supplemental subjects: music, art, world cultures, literature, science. The total estimate cost for all materials is $800 (not including field trips). But this cost would be divided among all the participating families and there are several strategies for lowering this total cost (using what's around your home, getting books from the library, etc.)

    This bundle provides you with

    - A Philosophy, Vision, and Policies - explaining the basic philosophy of the co-op (exploring specific topics or facts through a variety of hands on and multi-sensory lesson plans), vision (1-5 families meeting weekly for 24 weeks), and policies to think through (attendance, behavior, sick policies, etc.)

    - Planning Guides (scope and sequence already planned, sample calendars, blank calendars, memory work planning sheets, costs, materials (general infrastructure and week specific materials)

    - Lesson Plans - 24 weeks of pre-planned lessons covering a 6 week subject cycle (music, art, literature, geography, science, field trip). Lessons plans are written for any parent to be able to teach students about a variety of subjects. Students will learn biographical information about artists and musicians, definitions of literary and science terms, and be able to identify a variety of countries on a world map.

Beyond the facts, parents are given activities, games, recipes, and lists of materials to bring to the co-op for students to feed their minds with delightful experiences. Some prep work is required to gather materials, but the benefit of a co-op is the shared responsibility for costs, gathering materials or teaching lessons.

    - Handouts - these printables supplement the lesson plans. They include blank maps and flags, extra worksheets for different lessons, and a parent information page that contains extension activities that can be done at home.

    - Field Trip - this lists field trip ideas for general overall home school experiences, specific to the co-op Lesson Plans (reinforce one of the subjects done during that quarter), or specific to the Maryland area. It also contains a field trip planning form for parents and discussion guide for students.

***FREE CONSULTATION - with the purchase of this bundle, you have access to a free consult with me to go over any questions you have related to the curriculum or how to start your own co-op. You can contact me through the Q&A section on TPT or email me directly HERE.
