I use Daily Fix-Its with my students to reinforce good proofreading and editing practices. These Outsiders themed Fix-Its use both direct quotes and sentences inspired from the novel to review topics such as: capitalization, punctuation, spelling, homophones, formatting dialogue, formatting titles, subject verb agreement, and more!
Each fully animated and editable slide contains two incorrect sentences and their corrections. The two incorrect sentences will show up first, then the corrected sentences will show up second. I typically project the two incorrect sentences on my SmartBoard, correct them using proofreaders marks along with my students, then reveal the correct versions to check our work.
