Susan retired from education in 2012 and was inspired to put her creative skills in to making her own felt paintings after seeing work produced by another artist.
After attending some workshops and Master Classes in wool felting Susan has gone on to make felt paintings of her own interpretations of the Scottish landscape. In the process of making these felt paintings Susan has experimented with different ideas and techniques to produce something unique.
She has also explored other areas of felt work and has created luxury felted silk scarves, fairy lights and felted soaps to name but a few.
Many of her creations can be purchased at the Art & Craft Collective Gallery, Causwayside Edinburgh, Very Vintage in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh or at one of the Makers Markets that she attends including the Morningside Makers Market, Edinburgh.
In addition to running a number of workshops in Edinburgh and the borders. Susan also runs workshops tailored to small groups from her home studio.
