Treasure Valley is a valley in the western United States, primarily in southwestern Idaho, where the Payette, Boise, Weiser, Malheur, Owyhee, and Burnt rivers drain into the Snake River. It includes all the lowland areas from Vale in rural eastern Oregon to Boise, the most populated area in Idaho. Historically, the valley has been known as the Lower Snake River Valley or the Boise River Valley.
Ontario Oregon is the gateway to stunning river canyons and towering mountain ranges. For centuries, the Snake, Malheur, Owyhee and Payette Rivers have supported life in this area along the Oregon – Idaho border, attracting people from all points of the region. Named for these waterways, the Four Rivers Cultural Center represents the constant flow of people of varied ancestries — American Indian, Basque, European, Hispanic, Japanese — who call this area home.
