I have read the recent negative reviews. That is too bad as my wife and I have been here multiple times and never had a bad experience with the food or the service, could just be timing. My wife orders the Soup with Tofu and...they customized it for her. I have had the soup, grilled beef and another dish. We order the fried spring rolls which were good. We prefer the spring roll with tofu and wrapped in noodle, the peanut sauce is excellent. Again this has been our experience and sad to hear others have not had a positive one. Until we run into the situations the other have we will continue to go to this restaurant as it has been good, service has been good and the prices are reasonable. One note on a response I read, that said "customers are always right", sorry that is not true both my wife and I have worked in the food industry and have just as many bas experiences with customers and no they were not always right. You need to treat customers with respect if you want them to return, but that treatment has to go both ways.More

I placed an order for delivery and the order was short of 1 plate of food. I called to let them know and send the missing order. After admitting that it's their mistake, i was told that my order will be given to me when...next i order food. I told them i wanted my food right away. The food was delivered but the phone number and address of my family was marked that no order should be taken from us. No kidding, that's what happened. We were punished for their mistake. The reason they gave was that we overreacted! I didn't swear, i only rejected their option to wait until when next i order food. We deserve an apology from them for the shocking way my family was treated. We will never go to this restaurant again but we will continue to let people know of their arrogance and insensitivity to customers plight untill they offer an apology to my family. You're not feeding us for free. We pay for our food. And this is your mistake for crying out loud! The customer is always right! You need to learn that.More

I am DISGUSTED with the horrible service. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Would never recommend. Long story short: We walked in and no one came over to seat or greet us. I had to get the attention of the staff and ask to...be seated myself. Not once did the server check in on us during our meal. Not to mention, she snatched the iPad used to order away before we were even done ordering. When the manager came over to give us the bill, she asked how everything was. We proceeded to tell her that the food was alright but the service was a little slow. Rather than respecting our feedback, she yelled “WELL DON’T COME BACK then how about that!” and stormed off. To be honest, we were in absolute shock at her response. It was disrespectful and humiliating. When we calmly asked to speak with her again, she stormed over to our table and began screaming at us again. Rather than hearing out our critiques, she continuously spoke over us, rolled her eyes, turned her back and reminded us that we “had to pay” and “not come back”. We didn’t get to finish a sentence! She also referred to my friends and I as “you people” and walked away while we were speaking. There’s A LOT more I could say but ... Overall, I am disgusted with the behavior of the manager and other staff. She was aggressive, unapproachable, disrespectful and overall just plain rude and humiliating. She asked us for our opinion yet responded by insulting us when we gave her an honest answer. Not once were we disrespectful or deserving of being treated in such a way. DO NOT. Go here. The food is mediocre, not flavorful and 100% NOT worth such disrespect and discrimination. Not to mention the egg shells in my fried rice. I would never recommend this place to anyone. This place robbed me of 70.00 buck. Do not order food here. There is no taste at all. So so disappointed with this place.

I want to start my review by saying that i have been a customer to Phomono at the Ajax location (50 Kingston Rd Ajax, ON) for over a year now and never had any issues until yesterday afternoon. I purchased 3 xlarge pho soups and...waited 20 minutes at the cash register until i finally asked how long more will i have to wait, considering i waited 20 minutes already. The cashier told me that its still not ready. Mind you it shouldn't take over 20 minutes to serve soup.... Upon my wait I noticed the workers cleaning off plates and putting back the left over mint leaves, limes and peppers without even washing it off. They literally had clear containers where they simply put the left overs and then re-served them to new customers. They had the clear containers right by the entrance to the kitchen you can see everything in clear sight. I was utterly disgusted I was just watching them do this. I asked for my money back immediately, they did co operate but they lied and said no that is not true. I would not make this up, I have been purchasing soups from this location for over a year now but i will no longer spend my money here. It is disgusting to even think that i am being fed someone else's left overs is mind boggling!More

We always start off with beef or pork fresh rolls, then my husband orders his chicken pho soup and I get the grilled beef and spring roll on vermicelli noodles. Delicious every single time. The service is fast and friendly.

We recently went to Vietnam on vacation. The food in Vietnam was good, but not always consistent. Things like Pho varied from pretty good to excellent. At Pho Mono, the Pho broth is very flavourful. As good as the excellent Pho broth we had in...Vietnam. You can taste the rich beef and spices like clove and cinnamon. The noodles and beef were also good. The condiments were bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime, and hot peppers. The one area were the Pho in Vietnam was better was the condiments ... they typically served it with mint and coriander as well, which gave a nice fresh flavour. We also ordered fried and fresh spring rolls, fried squid, and a fried rice dish. They were all good. One note is that the large Pho is pretty large. We ordered too much food ... if you’d like to try the Pho and some other dishes, I’d recommend ordering the small Pho so you have room for the other dishes ... or sharing a Pho between two people.More

Good food and affordable price. Nice place, good noodle place for soup and beef ball. Warm place to eat on cold weather.

I can't rap my head around it, but how can you serve Vegetable Pho in Beef or Chicken Broth??? It does not make any sense because there is nothing a Vegan, Vegetarian or even Pescatarian can eat. I am assuming that the Seafood Pho is...also served in Chicken or Beef broth (which is gross from a culinary point of view) because we were told they were the only 2 they have. Had to leave unfortunately without ordering anything.More

Soup was good, the other dishes were all noodles and no protein. if you want to only eat noodles, go here.

Although a bit hard to find from the road we were very happy to find this Pho place. The Pho was excellent, however the Pad Thai was spicy but bland. I found it disappointing. I'd probably not order it again. Service was good and the...place was very clean.More
