The men in the group drove the go-karts while the women cheered them on! What a fun place for everyone! We bought the big package with many trips around the track. The staff was a lot of fun and made sure that everyone knew the rules and stayed safe! I can't wait to go back and take my boys!

Hello Kim, I'm glad that you were all able to have a fun time! Even from the sidelines, this can be exhilarating. Still, next time you should consider having the women race... nothing makes the competition more fun than when the girls start beating the guys! We hope to see you again! Thanks, ProKART Management

12 of us guys over 60 raced one afternoon and had the time of our lives. Felt like kids again. Little sore this morning as the racing is about as real as it gets. I would do it all over again, regardless of the muscle bimps and bruises. I could have stayed all day.

My two daughters are a year away from getting their driving permit, so, to "wet their whistle", and possibly have them learn some driving skills, we decided to check out the facility. As first timers, and not being a "gear head" myself, we were relieved to receive great customer service from the woman at the check in counter. She personally walked us through the whole registration, education process, and made sure we were comfortable and answered any of our questions. Once ready to drive, the young man that controlled the track as was also helpful. As for the driving/racing piece, being that it was my daughters first time driving quality, high performance karts, I was excited but bit nervous too. But, thankfully, they took to it like a fish in water, and got a great introduction to driving without being a detriment to themselves(or the public) lol!
Thanks to the friendly employees, safe atmosphere for all ages, and great driving/racing experience, we look forward to coming back again!

Went there with some friends and had never raced go karts at this facility before. Initially was a little surprised that for 2 races it cost my fiance and me 90.00 as you had to pay a "licensing fee" of 10.00 in addition to the 18.00 race fee but is only good for 7 days, but hey, we thought we would have some fun and give it a try. As we began racing, the karts go fast which was a absolute blast, however as soon as someone gets relatively close to you they make you pull your kart to the side so the person behind can pass you, which was super annoying since we were all trying to race each other and didn't want to just pull over and let our friends pass---I mean we had bets on this race!!! However, if you didn't pull off to the side after the workers waved their flags they pulled you to the side and yelled at your for not "listening to their instructions."
....Now all of this was annoying but tolerable. Where our experience was ruined was these other racers that were racing that were obviously VERY into racing-they had their own gloves, helmets, the whole works--good for them, for us it was all about the crazy fun. These racers were serious about wanting to pass and get by but the track is so small, there's only so many places to do so. So I'm driving down the track and the workers wave the "let the guy pass" flag so I pull my kart over on the turn because there is no where else to stop and I didn't want to get yelled at and this kid hit me HARD and smashed me into the wall. At this point I was still fine with the experience, it was when the worker ran up to me to pull my kart out and yelled at me saying "YOU NEED TO PAY MORE ATTENTION!!"----excuse me? Not only did I pay 90.00 for this experience but this other kid HIT me, I was only doing what I thought was expected to me after my five minute instruction time!! He hit me so hard my fiance stopped to make sure I was okay and yet I was getting yelled at? I still have no idea what I did wrong, again I am not a professional go-kart racer and just went there to have fun. We were so disgusted by how we were treated and demanded our money back for the second race and left. Overall, this is apparently not for people looking to just go-kart for fun. Would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE! Waste of my time and my money.

Thank you for coming to our facility to have some fun! I apologize for the poor on track experience that you and your friends had. We typically use the blue flag to move over drivers who are slightly off pace. We find that this helps the track run smoother and more safely during busy times. It sounds as if there was some miscommunication between my staff and your group on what to do when receiving the blue flag. Instead of stopping in the outside of the corner, we ask that racers continue drive around the track without slowing or stopping, but simply do so on the outer edge of the track in order to let faster traffic past them. Again, I apologize for the miscommunication. I will talk with my staff and come up with new ways to more effectively communicate how, why and when we will use the blue flag. As well as what racers are supposed to do when being blue flagged. We strive to be one of the safest and most fun indoor karting tracks in the country, We strongly encourage all types of racers from first timers to track champions! We even have racers as young as 8 years old (after completing our kids training course) all the way up to 60 and 70 years olds!

If you have kids or drivers, stay away from this place. They have at least one employee who sits and yells at slower racers like my 14 year old who had a slow cart his first race and got pulled to the side and scolded. I took his cart the second race and also got scolded for going to slow. Your basically suppose to drive on the right and let people just pass you. Might as well just let 1 cart go at a time and take down there race time. I don't ever remember going to race tracks and not trying to block other carts from passing you. Will never visit again

Hello krohnfarms Thank you for your review. I regret that you did not have a positive experience, but I'll try to explain what I hope happened. I have spoken to my crew about your event to try and get some clarification. Sounds like you have great kids! My crew specifically remembers them shaking our hands and expressing that they had a great time! We do use a blue flag to signal to drivers to let faster traffic pass. Nobody likes racing in a traffic jam and aggressive blocking can be unsafe when you aren't on a "Wisconsin Dells-style" kart. In your event, the first race was a Practice and Qualifier, so passing does not account for any points. It is in slower driver's advantage to follow the faster traffic so they can learn by following. We do black flag drivers who do not follow the rules and flags. While this is technically a "penalty flag," it is not meant to be a scolding, but to reinforce what the rules are. We certainly would not scold someone for driving slowly as long as they were following the rules. I do admit that being right next to a running kart does require our track marshals to speak loudly and clearly so that drivers can hear through their helmets. I apologize that anyone felt that they were yelled at. In heat races, we DO NOT blue flag slow drivers unless they are lap traffic. If you were a slow driver but managed to work your way up to 1st place, you would never see a blue flag. It sounds like you were lap traffic in one of your races. We blue flagged you to allow the lead drivers to pass you, the lap traffic. This is standard in almost any type of race. As far as a kart being slow, I've reviewed your laptimes and all karts for that day and do not see that any of you had a "slow" kart. All our karts ran within .3 seconds for their best lap time over that whole day. We spend a lot of time and effort to ensure our karts are as equal as possible so that the racing is as fair and fun as possible. Certainly, there are times that a kart needs to be tuned up, and we listen to all customer feedback so we can identify and rectify any issues. I'd be more than happy to discuss your visit further and I'll do what I can to have you give us a shot to earn back your business. All best, David David@ProKARTIndoor.com

This is nothing like the family fun racing places at the Dells. It is an extremely dangerous place. They pack their very narrow and small track with as many cars as possible. They have aggressive drivers that regularly frequent their facility. Not for the novice or anyone who values their own life. No seat belts of any kind. I will probably never get over the injuries sustained to my back. I was inches from becoming paralyzed. I hope this prevents a future injury. Steer clear of this place.

Hello Chong, I'm terribly sorry that you had a poor racing experience, and for the delay replying. We certainly wouldn't compare our karts to the "Dells." Racing karts carries inherent danger in all forms, but we constantly strive to make it as safe as possible. Seat belts, for instance, present their own dangers. As far as aggressive drivers go, everyone has their own personality on the race track, and we strictly enforce non-contact racing. Regardless, I'd like to know what happened in your case. I do not have record of anyone by your name even racing at our facility. Perhaps you were at another track? I hope you have made a full recovery. If you were racing with us, please contact me so we can try to learn if there was anything that would have prevented your accident. Thanks, David ProKART Management Team

I took some male visitors in town here for a few races. We did only 2 of the 8 minute races. It is more tiring than you would think steering and holding on the steering wheel to control a car. I think that all ages could participate. We were the only ones there. The check in process was easy and the pre-race training was not too long so they were on the track soon. It is an indoor course and for those just watching it is a little loud and cool on the track. The boys had a great time racing and got the hang of it rather fast. They cars seem very fast to me and the curves are tight in a few places which requires some skill and fun. Race instructors are helpful and right there if you get stalled or stuck.

Hello Laura, Thank you for racing with us! Glad that you enjoyed yourselves. As far as age requirements go, racers must be 18+ if alone, or 13+ w/ a parent or guardian present. We also schedule schools and lessons for kids as young as 8. Hope to see you again! Thanks, ProKART Management

We've raced go carts at ProKart Indoor in Burnsville a couple of times and we've enjoyed it very much. For $20/person (non-members), you get an 8 minute race on an indoor track that is challenging and fun to drive. Eight minutes may not seem very long, but if you're pushing the cart hard, its a good length for a race. You can also buy multiple race packages at a slight discount if you want to go 2 or 3 times.

The carts can get up to 40 mph, but with all the corners, most laps are around 20 mph. You can push the carts pretty hard around the corners as they are very stable. Passing is a little difficult but aggressive driving and ducking inside corners can get you ahead.

Try to get a group of at least four to have the most fun. The challenge of passing is the best part of this experience, so you want to have ample opportunities to do that.

We recommend ProKart Indoor for some great racing fun!

Had a work team outing for 16 people. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event. We did a Fast Laps challenge given varying driving skills across our group. The less aggressive drivers had just as much fun as the speedsters. It was easy to make a reservation, easy to get all signed up and ready to race and easy to pay at the end of the event. Although we chose the "less competitive" offering, we still had enough information to satisfy those who are competitive at heart. Thanks for a great outing - I will consider this for future events.
