MML Plumbing Ltd Reviews

My husband instructed MML to undertake a number of jobs at our new property in north Finchley on Monday 30 May 2022. The agreed jobs were to install a new washer and dryer in the bathroom (this was a new installation in a new place), fitting of the dishwasher, working on the extraction fan and fitting the kitchen worktops. Prior to the works on 30th May, the plumber came to our property to have a look at the work that needed to be done. My husband clearly explained to him that the most important job was the installation of the washer and dryer. Having assessed the work Involved, it was agreed that he would come and complete all of the works on Monday 30th May. The plumber was aware of the need to prioritise the washer/dryer. On Monday 30 May, the plumber came to complete the works. He connected the dishwasher and extractor fan but couldnt get them to operate due to an electrical fault. The plumber then fitted the kitchen worktops but left a visible gap in the joining of the worktops close to the sink. The gap that has been left is far greater than I or my husband have ever seen on a kitchen worktop. The standard of work was very poor and aesthetically, it looks awful. Pictures are attached. We will now have to spend more time and money in putting a metal strip over the gap to cover it. This is not the aesthetic finish I wanted. I am very disappointed. In terms of the washer / dryer, the plumber did not fit this at all despite us making clear that this was the most important job. He left the property at the end of the day without fitting the washer / dryer. He also demanded payment before he left which my father in law made. We made a complaint with MML the following day and have basically been told that the fitting of the worktop was the best he could do. They have also said that the plumber had estimated one hour for the washer / dryer but actually decided that it would take longer than this when he got there and he ran out of time. This does not make sense as the plumber had assessed the job on 30 May and would have been able to estimate the time required at the stage. In their response to our complaint, MML said that they would no longer send a plumber to fit the washer/ dryer and offered us a refund for the one hour of work estimated for the washer / dryer. This is not what we agreed and we did not want our money back - we wanted the works to be done as per the deadline they gave us and to a high standard. As a result of MML’s conduct, we were delayed in moving into our new home. We had to then locate and contact other plumbers to complete the job. Thankfully, Pimlico plumbers were able to help and correctly estimated that this would be a day job. They completed the work on time although we had to pay an additional sum for their work. We are left very disappointed with MML, out of pocket and delayed in moving into our home. Sadly, I cannot recommend MML due to our bad experiences.

MML Plumbing is always my choice. Used them on multiple occasions since 2019, and always left me happy and satisfied. Whether it was plumbing, heating or gas, they resolved all my issues and left my properties tidy and clean. They installed my boiler in 2021, and since then, they keep me updated with my boiler service, to ensure that I don't lose my warranty, and to ensure my safety as well. They also informed me that I have an internal leak, ( while checking my central heating system to be ready for the heating season) which I didn't even know, only noticed my water bills were higher than usual. Their prices are very friendly compared to other companies nearby, or in London. I cannot recommend them enough, and grateful for their support over the years. 5-star for MML Plumbing's team from Erica.

Great service, very reliable!

I feel obliged to write this review. I have been in the property business for many years and was surprised at how I was dealt with by this so called "professional" business. An engineer visited my property and gave us a day quote of 958.50, I thought this is a lot higher than my day rate as a GP - but then went along with it as wanted to get the works done quickly and to a high standard. Out of the 5 jobs QUOTED, 2 of them were not done - including the most important (installation of the washer drier). And one of the jobs they did do was at a poor standard. The real trauma happened when I tried to speak to them after. DID NOT WANT TO KNOW, ENGAGE or RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I was even prepared to pay more to get the other issues resolved. They were keen to stick to their illogical explanations and "close the case". no compensation or remedial works offered. The quality of a good professional company is tested when things go wrong. I would recommend "north London heating or plumbing" or even "pimlico" (expensive but accountable) I write this review as I know there are vulnerable people out there who would also be defenceless.

I choose MML Plumbing purely based on the 5 star reviews. From getting a quote to booking an appointment are all professional and easy. The plumber did not only install a new tap to my kitchen sink, but also cleared any blockage and cleaned the pipe works (turned out there was lots of rubbish and no wonder my sink stings occasionally.) I truly appreciate such meticulous work. This service is completely valued for money (very reasonable fee)! I will definitely come back to them for future plumbing works and recommend it to my friends.

I asked MML to move and replace my boiler and it was a tricky project but they did a really good job and we’re very reliable! Would recommend. I was a bit worried at the fact that 90% of payment is taken ahead of time due to fraud - but they came with the right tools and materials and did the job really well!

Great customer service, very helpful and friendly! Found the leak without ripping out our bathroom or tearing down plaster, which other companies had said would be required. Very happy!

Incredible gem of a company. Used for a Google nest installation, and variety of jobs including dishwasher install prep, fixing boiler leaks etc. The communication via email to prepare and book the work is top notch and the engineer that came was excellent, quick and took great care in carrying on the work. They’ve now become our business of choice to carry gas/plumbing services.

Highly recommend MML Plumbing - great experience with them from start to finish! We needed a plumber sooner rather than later to find and fix a slow leak that had been damaging a wall for some time and causing a lot of stress. I contacted several plumbing companies and communication with Szilvia was the best out of all of them - rapid and clear responses, and good availability despite it being summer period. On the day of our appointment, Mike showed up on time (even a few minutes early). Communication was clear and he kept us informed of our options, what needed to be done, processes and costs. (It should be said that their rates are very reasonable as well.) Despite some setbacks, Mike was reassuring and hardworking. He even adeptly managed the situation with our upstairs neighbours who were not pleased when we had to shut off their water unexpectedly, generously offering to deal with them so we could preserve our neighbourly relations! Mike stayed with us a full day and even worked beyond the allotted time so that he could also fit a kitchen tap and have a look at our boiler. He diagnosed a problem with our radiators that we hadn't noticed. We were really impressed by the level of service. Can't say enough about this efficient, professional and considerate plumber. Glad we gave them a try and we'll definitely call them again for our next plumbing needs. Thank you Mike and Szilvia!
