Dr. Kris Lewis was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Western Kentucky University with minor studies in Economics and Business.  He was also a member of the Division I Men’s Swimming program.  Dr. Lewis performed graduate studies at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was then accepted into Metropolitan Veterinary Specialist’s internship program for advanced studies in small animal emergency and critical care.
 

Dr. Lewis has performed advanced emergency procedures, surgeries and internal medicine in urgent care facilities, shelters, private practice and overseas.  While in private practice, he used modern equipment and techniques to provide comprehensive exams as well as always seeking to maintain close relationships with pets and their owners.  Dr. Lewis is an active member of the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Lewis enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with special interests in general practice, lameness/orthopedics and emergency medicine. His hobbies include: golf, fishing, boating and activities with his wife Katie, kids Robert, Henry, Georgia and Scarlett and their pets, Mabel, Bunny, Halen and Herman.
