how did you make the headlight work?

I didn't, it's not mine.

I had one some time ago, it had a specific ignition stator. I think the recent models have a battery on top of that.

As Fantic now seems to be somewhat of a testing platform for Yamaha, I found their E-Motard at EICMA to be pretty interesting.

It's not quite a full-size bike, but it definitely has YZ-F styling. They say it's to catch the interest of young urban riders (50cc and other small-bore motards are huge in Italy) but perhaps Yamaha is using it as a soft launch? Still in prototype but worth keeping an eye on for the eMoto fans out there.

Don't know much about the Fantic brand, first time I saw the bike was at the 22 Motocross of Nations at Red Budd.

Hit the LEAP on the very first lap in slimy conditions!

Rider and bike was very impressive! Woohoo

Yep,  I know I have watched it at least 20 times since I first saw it. Laughing

Norwegian Hakon Osterhagen came out in the first OPEN qualifier leading a pack of Factory 450's and hit the leap first time!

The crowd went crazy! Woohoo

Watching him was one of the highlights of the weekend. But something must have happened to him as I did not see him in the main events.

I was also perplex initially, but it is a very good value. You get both a reliable and competitive platform, and the bling and exotism. A bit like a factory edition but without extra cost. It is like the son of a yamaha and a tm, you get the fantic Smile

Hum no, not quite. Lots of electrical problems with the Fantic compared to a Yamaha, but they use cheaper components. Just one example among a few others. And TM are over rated, BTW.

Huh?

"Electrical problems" what are you talking about I'm sure they use all the same Ignition and everything that the Yamaha already uses why would they change that?

All they're changing is plastics and a few other things as far as I know.

Show me these electrical problems you claim. 🙄

The video I posted that bike sure did not look like it was having any issues at all.

The steel frame yz was better and the ergos are terrible

The ergos on the 22+ models is great, actually. I should know, having owned a 2016 YZ250, then a 22 CRF450 (amazing rider triangle), and now a 23 YZ250

The steel frame was undoubtedly better on hardpack, but the aluminum frame fares quite well in loam and sand. Wish I could find the Instagram post, but Carson Brown was asked his thoughts on it and he said he could go either way. They're both good in their own right.

Forget the two stroke and the ebike, I am anxious to see their 320F. I assume it will not be released to the US.

Nice try Laughing

That is a 4-stroke not the Fantic 2-stroke in the Moto des Nations video. Like I said I seriously doubt they change the Yamaha ELECTRONICS on that bike.

Yep....and 99% chance that was a water in the airbox problem and not an electrical problem.

Fantics (including 2 stroke) come with a mappable GET ignition. Different from Yamaha, but definitely not "cheaper components."

I’d love to somehow get one of the new 300’s to test against my KTM 300sx. Surely there’s a way. Somehow buy from a euro dealer and ship it here. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m sure it would be pricy to do but who knows.

Are you talking about GYTR Yamaha parts?
