FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Tokens-N-Tickets announced plans to close in March after decades of being in business.

In a post on Facebook Tuesday, Tokens-N-Tickets announced its last day of operation would be March 3, and the business will operate under its regular business hours until then.

“The property we currently occupy has been sold, and we begin the process of winding down Tokens-N-Tickets,” part of the post said. “We encourage everyone to come in for one last round of fun and please utilize any tokens, Play Cards or Funzie Ticket Money you have.”

Despite the announcement, Tokens-N-Tickets did not completely rule out a return in the future.

“If this is the final chapter in the 31-year history of Tokens-N-Tickets — and maybe it’s not — we thank you for all that you have meant to us during this time,” another portion of the post said.

The announcement comes months after planning documents showed Drive & Shine, a chain of car washes, would eventually take over Tokens-N-Tickets’ current location at 5820 Coldwater Road.

Similar to Chuck E. Cheese or Crazy Pinz Entertainment Center, Tokens-N-Tickets offers a variety of activities and arcade games such as air hockey and skee ball.

Before settling at its current location, Tokens-N-Tickets used to be tucked away in a strip mall off Noble Drive near the northeast corner of Coldwater Road and Coliseum Boulevard.

Tokens-N-Tickets operates under the following hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 3:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 3:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
