4am Coffee Roasters Cafe & Bar

Will never go back...was told I needed a mask to sit down, looked around and no one had mask on eating at tables. Was told I needed to walk out put a mask on...walk to my table then I could take it off. Wow

Wonderful breakfasts (I hear lunch is great here, too. The staff were helpful and engaging. One of us tried the grits casserole, and it was outstanding.

There was love music just as we were leaving, and I like to return to listen.

Great food. Wonderful place to find farm to table options. Loved the atmosphere of this place. The staff are always friendly and quick with your order.

Weird space and weird vibes.

Visited around 2pm on Saturday, the place was absolutely dead and SILENT. No music, no customers, no one talking, not even the employees.

Strangely there seemed to be 4 employees the ordering process was uncomfortable. There was no visible menu upon walking in and it was really confusing trying to figure out where to order because of this. There's a bar top in the center so after being stared down by the guy behind the bar (no smile, barely any greeting) I asked for a cold brew hoping they had that.

He asked what size I wanted from way across the bar, I got a small. He didn't ask if I wanted cream or sweetener or anything. I felt super uncomfortable just awkwardly waiting in what I wasn't even sure was the correct area. Small cold brew came to $4.28, not too bad for an independent place. Paid at a tiny register in the corner of the bar area and left. I didn't want to stay, there was nothing inviting about the place.

It's set very far back from the road and the sign is TINY. The whole area felt a little like a liminal space and I didn't like it.

It was a decent cold brew but I won't be back.

4am has the nicest serving staff and the food is always delicious! It's our favorite place to go for breakfast and mid-week live entertainment!

My family loved this place. The food is delicious (best breakfast sausage that I've ever had, and the crepes are phenomenal too!) and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We love the play area for the kids, which allows the adults to relax and enjoy themselves while the kids have fun with the toys.

Why anyone would give 4am less than 5 stars beats me. It's the best spot in Carrollton. You're going to find the best coffee, breakfast, and lunch options here. The owner is a gem, and the vibe is light and friendly. I've studied here, had dates with friends, and toasted with classmates to the tunes of a Friday evening live band. The other side of the cafe sells fresh coffee beans, local artisan crafts, and farm-to-table foods. What more can you ask for? The love and good intentions this place was built on are palpable if you're sensitively inclined. Come through and see for yourself.

Awesome family owned local farm to table spot with plenty of paleo and gluten free options. My favorites are the gluten free biscuits and muffins, and OMG the Paleo sandwich has plantain buns?!?! Sooo good! The teas and coffees are top notch in terms of flavor to savor, excellent if you're into beverage tastings. Worth the drive and a must try if you're in the area!

This was super yummy (iced) coffee and a great space. Adorable. Ordered the sweet potato biscuit and potatoes. The flavors were there but the potatoes were cold and biscuit/sausage dry. Not sure if they're struggling with the new location or widespread staffing issues right now...everything was nearly there but not quite. Probably a great spot to study, hang, host events?
