I found Thomas on thumtack and gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was a professional but his services were horrible. He arrived an hour late with his girlfriend and they were fighting on the phone which was very unprofessional and not to mention he did a terrible job on my front doors. I have 8 ft doors and he didn't have any extra weather strips with him so he had to go to Home Depot left for 4 hours and his girlfriend came back with a different pair of clothes. They asked me for a partial payment because he didn't have any money in his account.. They apologized profusely said they had something important come up..they left my house with a giant gaping hole in the freezing cold and didn't even put plastic or fake doors to cover where the doors were placed. Not to mention he did a piss poor job and didn't even leave a shiny coat because it was too dark because he left FOR 4 hours! His girlfriend offered to repolish and repaint my hardware which DID NOT EVEN MATCH my doors.. The paint didn't even dry so they left the handles there wet...I was so infuriated I texted him to come back the next day but NO response so I CALLED a different company to fix his GOD AWFUL job. Thomas does not even DESERVE a 1 star. I would NEVER recommend his services.

This is surely how I receive the award for 2015s best door and lock professional...its not easy to please everyone but I guess thumbtack had over 22 reviews to give Aaa 4 and 1/2 stars plus award serving the Houston community...

Use these people at your own peril. In trying to schedule the installation of a front door, Thomas told me that he was unable to install the door today (Saturday, September 19, 2015) and requested that we do it yesterday at 1:30 p.m. I left my work and came home for the installation, which he said would take 2 1/2 hours. After being at my house for about 30 minutes and not having performed any work,Thomas said that he needed to go to Home Depot to get a tool (he had apparently pawned the tool he had and said that he was going to purchase the tool from Home Depot and return it after he finished the job). He left and didn't return until more than three hours later. When I complained that he had cause me to miss work for no reason, he threatened to walk off the job. I told him to go ahead and go. Thomas' assistant pleaded with me to let them do the job, and he and her promised that the install would be easy and would only take an hour and 15 minutes. This was at 5:30 p.m. Around 1:30 a.m. (I kid you not), when the door wouldn't close or lock (because the hinges were not flush with the door and the door had not been accurately measured by Thomas, he said, he needed to come back and finish the door Saturday morning (today), notwithstanding that he previously said he was unavailable today when we were trying to schedule a time. When I complained that I needed my door to actually close and lock before he left, he again threatened to walk off the job. His assistant had to beg him to secure the door and attach the alarm sensor. in attaching the alarm sensor, he drilled a ragged whole that is too large for the alarm sensor and wedged the door closed so tightly that it will likely be necessary to ram it to get it open. When I attempted to contact Thomas and his assistant this morning, neither of them answered my text or my calls. So, I am now in the position of having to find someone to fix the mess caused by Thomas.

I recall this job as you instructed me on how to do the whole job over my shoulder with all my years of experience being trumped by your scrutiny...anyways ....i know your door and complete install was a success after all ...
