If I could give zero I would. My son went in to get a routine check up, and see if his wisdom teeth were coming in. Well that's where things got very shady. They gave an estimate, over $1100.00 with my insurance. I questioned the price ( had looked up the procedure on my insurance site) they told me the insurance doesn't cover a bone graft- after thought and research I questioned about the procedure- and cost without the bone graft- amazing it was what my insurance quoted me- they then told me they wouldn't do all 4 without doing the graft on the 2 that they feel was necessary, and they could send a referral to an oral surgeon for the other 2- I told them my son doesn't need to go through that process twice and they can send the referral for all 4-
They scheduled him to get a filling ( they would not schedule without a deposit) I paid the deposit- ( $25- the filling was $16)
The day of appointment they called asking for the payment-When I explained I paid the deposit to cover the filling, she said she would look, eventually finding I had paid and said their system is strange- welll my son went to the oral surgeon and guess what, didn't need bone graft done and was exactly the amount my insurance estimated-
Then I got a call from ACE again, asking for a deductible to be paid that they had overlooked
Moral of the story- stay away as it appears they are over charging to get around what insurance pays them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather H.Downtown, Austin, TX01May 23, 2023
Had root canal done, piece of equipment broke off in my gum. Dentist told me after the fact and said "we'd watch it and fix it if need be." I decided I wanted it out ( big surprise) and was told because I'm in no pain that everything's fine and it's a complex procedure to fix.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. Had a buckle cavity on the upper back molar. I decided to get a crown as fillings don't work well most of the time. The tooth was ground down, molds were made, and a temp crown was placed. It was placed so badly that my whole bite was open and I was in screaming pain for two weeks before they could get me back in. The temporary crown was reset so I could finally close my mouth. The next week my permanent crown came in, and it wasn't mine. Another person was getting a crown the first day I came in, so they probably have my crown in their mouth. They sent it back to be recast. I called at week three, four, and five, and finally gave up. Surprise! I still haven't heard from them... it's been three months. So I'm stuck with this awful temp crown that's super sensitive, and these jerks have the only mold for my destroyed tooth.
So I guess I'll go spend a grand somewhere else trying to get it fixed? Or pulled? Freaking nightmare.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sheila O.Dallas, TX07Dec 13, 2021
First of all, why are you asking for my height? That has nothing to do with my teeth.
Secondly, the air. OMG. There is a nail salon next door that makes the dentist's office smell like you are inside the salon. It REEKED. When I began to ask questions, I received a lot of deer-in-the-headlights expressions. Took me all of four minutes to get a headache that I am still dealing with two hours later. When I asked the staff if anyone has tried to notify the business next door about this odor, more quizzical blankness.
Then you ask me to remove my mask and glasses for XRays, and when questioned you tell me that some medical providers are vaxxed and some aren't and you cannot point them out. SKKKKKKRRRRRRRRT. Not risking my grandchild's health for y'all's stupid choices. Ironic that your door asks, "For everyone's safety please wear a mask before entering." That mask doesn't do a bit of good when you have to take it off amongst unvaccinated people.
Appointment over. I will never return. I think you may have breathed in too much of that air.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nanci G.Cedar Park, TX791822Oct 20, 2020

I received a phone call from the dentist at the Ace Dental clinic at 6pm this evening. He apologized for the misunderstanding and offered to have me come in right then, after hours, to have my procedure done at no cost. I did go in and he did a wonderful job while being polite and personable.
I had to go to the emergency room on Saturday with severe pain and my face was very swollen. I have an abscessed tooth, so I called Ace Dental yesterday, which was Monday, and set an appointment for 12:00pm, today. When I called yesterday, I specifically asked if the clinic took my insurance. I was told yes and I gave all of my information. I received a phone call at 11:35 today, 25 minutes before my appointment time, and the person started talking about how much was and wasn't covered for preventative dental by my insurance. I told her that the amounts didn't sound correct and that I was not being seen for preventative care, but for an emergency procedure. She then started reading off what was covered for that and told me that the clinic was out of network. I asked why I wasn't told that yesterday and why I was not called until 25 minutes before my EMERGENCY appointment. She just apologized without giving me any explanation. I hung up and made an appointment with a different dental clinic, who told me right away, without me having to ask, that they are in network for my insurance. Luckily, I was given prescriptions for pain meds and an antibiotic at the E.R. I am so frustrated and angry that I now have to wait yet another day before I can get this taken care of and get back to work.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jonah M.West Hartford, CT0183Jul 29, 2018

Great service and they don't make you feel horrible for not doing what you're supposed to to take care of your teeth. My smile looks better already!

When we called to try to get an emergency appointment, they had instant availability, which was really nice. However, we live in Killeen and were told to go to the office in Killeen by the lady on the phone. Turns out the appointment was in Belton. Okay, no big deal, we just drove down to Belton trying to make it in time for the appointment. They tell my wife (the patient) she needs her wisdom teeth extracted, yet the dentist, Dr. Kunho Roo, was unable to successfully numb her jaw. They continue the procedure, disregarding my wife informing them she can still feel pain (NOT PRESSURE) during the incision. So they finally ended up scrapping the entire ordeal, wrote her a prescription for antibiotics and pain medication, and told her to come back in a week to try again. I would call driving 25 minutes out of the way, getting your gums sliced open pointlessly, and being in a ton of pain, all the while having to take time off of work, a horrendous experience. The dentist is an amateur and should be explicitly avoided. Again, that's Dr. Kunho Roo. The only plus was that they didn't charge us for the evisceration of my wife's gums. Stay away, folks.
