Although getting your car towed is never a good day, the staff at Ace Towing was reasonable and friendly. My boyfriend had accidentally knocked his parking pass down when pulling his sunglasses off the rear view mirror. The pass was in the foot of the car, flipped upside down. Although it was my boyfriend's fault, the management was reasonable and returned the car at 30% of the price (which payed the driver, yet they made no money).

If I could give us zero store, I would. Pay for parking in a parking lot. There are no numbers or anything at all on any of the spots or there is one sign with this information that you can barely see behind a bush in a tree remember, it is fall, so especially in the spring you can't see this at all. These people are racking up money. This should be illegal.
I called and spoke with the gentleman I even referred to sign where you can't see it you can't read it or anything unless you get up that close and move the little bush. I will never use this company for the way this guy replied. Calling me a liar and said there were signs all over. Video footage and picture prove no signs you jackassHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joseline V.Durham, NC01Apr 20, 2024

This company is Very unprofessional. They tow cars that aren't supposed to be towed and when they are called in the carpet they call you racial slurs.

Josh with Ace Towing is an absolute jerk! My car was wrongfully towed during a football game at NC State after an employee told me I could park in a specific space and use a handicapped placard. Josh was unsympathetic and rude to me and my father after we tried to explain the situation to him and forced us to pay him to get our car back. Thankfully the NC State Athletic Director is involved and they are working to get a refund issued for us. If I could share a review with negative stars I would because this place doesn't even deserve one star.

Horrible company, they tow your car from your own spot for any small reason. They just wait to snag your car so they can make the money; they are not reasonable at all. Once they picked my car and when I got to their place to pick it up, my plate number was missing. They did not care , instead they were super aggressive and tried to force me out.

I have researched this company. They do abuse their contracts with apartment complex. I have also called, NC ATTORNEY GENERAL, Josh Stein. and additional government agencies. Since 2020 it is 2023 I have yet to receive a follow up to a series of complaints against ACE TOWING. They do predatory towing. They do damage your vehicle. They do overcharge. My son and I have video of staff member stating they would run over our Black a** if we picket them. Again FBI and RPD Debonis did absolutely nothing.
So let's see how long, ACE TOWING continues preying on poor working class.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - A. S.San Francisco, CA01Oct 19, 2023
Towed my friend's registered car for being unregistered and are now trying to get her to pay $45 a day for storage. For a car they shouldn't have even towed in the first place. They do things that can absolutely wreck a person's life all without access to the database of information that would let them know if they even should. Absolute con artists. Stay far away if you have any say in the matter.

I am very upset I am having to even deal with this situation and write this review and unfortunately no matter how many negative reviews that are written about the way this company chooses to handle thing's will not change one single thing. The fact of the matter is everyone is out to make a dollar and no one cares about a bind they are putting someone else in because it doesn't apply to them and their lives. I was in my own home (condo) minding my business and I just so happened to look out my window to see a tow truck putting their lifter under my vehicle.. I ran out outside and asked what was going on for the ACE tow guy to tell me my tags were expired. I had no idea that my tags were expired considering I have had so much other things going on the past few months and I just moved into my condo and the last thing I was thinking about was my tags. I explained that I did not know the tags were expired and was he just going to take my vehicle without making me aware of what was happening and his response was yes. I asked him if It was the other way around would that be the way he would want things done if it were him and that I did not have the money right now for any of this and if I could at least have a warning bc I was not aware my tags were out of date! I mean it is an expired tag on a brand new vehicle, things happen but I do have insurance. This is not that serious an expired tag! he proceeded to pick my vehicle up and jerk it around like it was an old pinto or something . I also explained that I was having a tuff enough time making ends meet and please do not take my vehicle.. he said it would be a $100 charge when he seriously did not have to lift it up bc it was not lifted up when I went out to talk with him he literally lifted it up when I was talking to him.I let him know again that I did not have any money to just please give me a warning. Now mind you this is at my own home in my own parking space and this is a tow truck guy he is not a policeman. And when he was getting ready to ride off with my vehicle I said okay I will pay you the $100 . He said to me you said you didn't have any money but now you do? I made him aware since it is the first of the month that I would be taking the money from my rent. while my spouse went inside to get my purse and I was getting the money out of the purse he decided he could not wait 2 more mins out of the 10 mins I guess I held him up by begging him please don't take my vehicle that I had work in the am and I was not aware of the tags. So while I was counting the money to give to him he took off with my car. Costing me another $110 because of Uber and the fee so it was $210. no one never knows what situation they will be put in one day. You can never say oh I would never let my tags expire etc. you never know what turn life will take you and put you in a situation that I was put in to today. I guess bc he had the power to do so by taking my car that's what he did. I was upset but not ugly.I think he may had been discriminating me because he was a man of color and I was white. But I think a warning would had been nice and maybe I could had put that money towards tags instead of tow fees. do unto others as you would want done to you. Be fair, be kind, and be compassionate towards others. This man was clearly none of these. God bless and I hope this message will help them when dealing with the next situation they pull up on.

Scratched my wheels while I hooking my vehicle from being towed today. The most ignorant person I have dealt with from any tow service and I know a lot of them from working for the government in the past.
You can either pay to replace my wheels or I'm suing you for messing them up period.
