Advanced Endodontics of Buffalo

I was referred to Dr. Hatim Hamad and Advanced Endodontics of Buffalo because I needed my first ever root canal done and my insurance carrier had minimal options locally... beyond that, the specialists that were available had a significant wait. While going to Advanced Endodontics meant a longer drive, I was grateful to have been able to swoop in and grab an appointment in order to get the procedure done. The downside? It was an appointment at 7am on a Saturday morning. O_o

That said, the long drive might have been the worst part of the entire experience. The staff members at Advanced Endodontics are professional and welcoming, and Dr. Hamad himself brings a calming demeanor to what is an otherwise a typically anxiety-causing kind of experience. After watching a video of what the root canal process was like, Dr. Hamad came into the room and provided novocaine and some info on what was going to happen during the procedure. He listened as I noted remaining feeling near the tooth (apparently, I require more than the average amount of novocaine), and only proceeded when I felt comfortable. Throughout the root canal procedure, he would calmly indicate how much time he expected there was left. My stress about the procedure had dissipated early on, thankfully, but his talking me through the process was still much appreciated.

All finished up, I checked out (thanks, insurance company, for the minimal cost I had to pay! Worth the longer drive, for sure) of the office and began the drive back home. Many thanks to Dr. Hamad and the staff at Advanced Endodontics for taking care of me!

Dr. Hamad had to cancel my original appointment, but rescheduled me right away. I was very pleased with my appointment today. Dr. Hamad performed a root canal on me today, and everything went very smoothly! The doctor and staff are very friendly, and explain everything. I am very pleased, highly recommended!

Let's be honest, no one. HOWEVER- Dr. Hamad makes the procedure EASY, PAINLESS, FAST And he is so kind. He and his whole staff are AWESOME and sweet. Also- my insurance plan caused a stink and he made sure things were fixed without delaying my appointment. Truly, if there is anywhere to go to have a root canal- choose Dr. Hamad!!!

Dr Hamad and his team are wonderful!!! Of course I was not looking forward to my first root canal but they made it as painless and comfortable as possible. The staff was so nice and Dr Hamad could not have been nicer! He listened to my concerns, explained what the procedure was going to be and gave me plenty of Novocain so once that was in, I felt nothing. The room I was in was so nice! A beautiful stone wall with electric fireplace was a very calming view. The comfy chair had a back massager that was in the entire time. It kept me preoccupied and felt great all at the same time. To say I was really nervous going in is an understatement but as I left I was very glad to have been referred to them. It's mice to know that they take the time and care to ease your mind, make you feel welcome and comfortable. I had no complications afterwards and it's now just a memory!

I would not recommend Dr. Hamad based on his office staff. I called to change my insurance company information prior to my appointment. His office told me that starting 2 days after my appointment, they would no longer be accepting my insurance. That is of course their prerogative. However, since they ARE accepting it the day of my root canal, it should have no bearing on my service. His office demanded that I pay 2k up front for my appointment and submit it to my insurance carrier afterwards. It's like gong to a restaurant and having them say, we are gong to close in 3 hours, so we can't serve you now. Here's what I've learned in life. If the back office staff treats you like an idiot, it is because i have learned it is acceptable from their superiors... To put a client between a third party dispute is HIGHLY unethical behavior. I wouldn't recommend them based solely on how I was treated.

Dr. Hamad does great work and is efficient . The staff at this office is so nice. Easy x rays, and a beautifully decorated office!

Very poor business these folks run. They're having an attorney harass me calling, yelling and threatening me for money. I have full dental coverage and this place doesn't submit the needed and necessary information. So I'm not responsible when the business doesn't know what the heck they're doing. Ive spent several hours on the phone with my insurance company and relaying the information back to this place of business. Now that they didn't submit the information they're having people call me and threaten me. So save yourself a headache and obtain a good business for your dental needs.

Dr. Hamad and his staff are simply amazing. From the time of check-in until the time the root canal is performed they are extremely professional, friendly and just plain top notch! I have had three root canal's done here. Yes, three! I would not go anywhere else! Root canals are not common but I tell everyone I run into that there is no other place to choose from! They have all the latest technology and have hours that are perfect! They're open early even on Saturdays! They take emergencies with no problem. I am so thankful that advanced endodontics are in the Western New York area. Dr. Hamad is very skilled and knowledgeable! Judy, who was his assistant this Saturday is so friendly and also very knowledgeable. They put you right at ease. I sat in a nice massage chair and there is a fireplace option. The actual procedure did not take very long either. I would like to say it took about 45 minutes. Root canals have come a long way in my time. Thank you so much for everything Dr. Hamad and staff!
