Advantage Lock and Door

Made me keys that cannot actually work in my car without the original key fob held next to it.

How does that work as a suitable replacement? As someone who has zero understand of cars I didn't understand how this works and told him I was frustrated that he led me to a solution that didnt work at all.

BE WARE! horrible service! Very expensive! They couldn't even open my very simple lock so they broke my door and still couldn't get in and then drilled my lock and charged me extra! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTILL SERVICES ARE RENDERED!!!
If you must use their services do not sign the estimate that they give you before hand there is fine print on it making them not liable for damages.

Update: I am sure these guys are responsible for the craigslist ads now posted for sex work and free items, advertising to knock on my door and call whenever. Call and texts started coming in almost immediately after posting reviews. I've called Portland police and will be reporting this business to the state.

The locksmith that came to take the rack off my car damaged my rack and still charged me after I talked to him about it. I didn't want to fight with a large locksmith on a dark car lot at night so I called this morning to talk to them and see if they would consider a refund. Instead the man I talked to Billy was not only rude but hung up on me and BLOCKED MY NUMBER. When my partner called on my behalf a few minutes later he did the same thing to him. This is the worst customer service I have ever received not to mention the damage they did to my car rack. I would use anyone else.

Courteous, gave estimate and the final cost after a grueling 20 minutes of trying to get me into my house, same price! Highly recommend them.
