This restaurant was unreal. The tourist menu was exquisite and not set up for your typical tourists. For 25€ (per person) the table received 5 appetizers, a primo, secondi, and dessert followed by house-made limoncello. The restaurant was gorgeous, the server was exceptional and picked out an excellent wine for us. There was one chef working in the kitchen which you can see the whole time behind beautiful glass. As someone who travels to Italy often, this place is the real deal. Good prices for amazing food. Course after course blew my whole table away. If you go to Matera definitely stop here! It's in a quiet alley off of the piazza but not hard to find. So worth it. Small menu cooked to perfection.

Beautiful space with a generous charcutterie platter.
Black pork sausage, pecorino and sundried tomatoes were the highlights. The bread and cheese shine alongside the Materan primitivo the sommelier selected for us.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vajira N.San Francisco, CA3183Jun 26, 2019
Best food we've had in Matera and best food we've had in a while. Great wine as well. Loved all the dishes but especially loved the lamb chops. Discovered the place accidentally and so happy we did.
