Called Air Repair to have my AC unit tuned up/serviced for the summer. They were actually able to schedule me in the same day. I was given an appointment time between 2-4 & they were actually pretty close to arriving at 2. Service, professionalism & courtesy was topnotch. Not to mention very reasonable price compaired to others & didn't try to blow smoke up my butt to make an extra buck. So Honesty has just awarded them my future services.
Thanks guysHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - S L.Little Elm, TX0380232May 18, 2023
I have never see price gouging this bad before in my entire life.
They charge $67 for a service call (non-member), which is very reasonable. A competitor wanted $99. The capacitor went out on our AC unit and I had even guessed that that would be the issue. The tech asked if I wanted him to go ahead and replace it and while I knew it would obviously be more expensive having them do it, I had no idea that it was outrageously expensive. The part itself is $15 on Amazon. FIFTEEN DOLLARS. They charged $434.50 for the part. That's a 2,700% markup. That is effing insane. They should tell you upfront how much things cost BEFORE doing any work. Don't make my mistake. ASK THEM FOR THE COST BEFORE LETTING THEM DO ANY WORK.
If you need to replace the capacitor on your AC unit, do it yourself. It's super easy and takes less than 5 minutes to do.
Their customer service was good though (still not worth a 2,700% markup). They arrived promptly, the tech wore booties inside the house, and he made sure the vents were pumping cold air before leaving. I would expect these to be the norm for most companies though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joan G.Fillmore, CA235Jul 14, 2023
I requested just a spring/summer maintenance check. Technician actually was a bit early but had sent me a text to confirm that would work. I was impressed with the professional and knowledge of the technician and so I brought up their maintenance plan, yes I signed up for it! Highly recommend.

On 6/26 I had Air Repair pros technician DALLAS at my home to inspect my downstairs ac unit that was not blowing cold air. The upstairs unit was working fine. He went into my garage, outside, and in my attic and took quite awhile. He then told me about a service fee which I was unaware of. He then told me that it was taken out of the amount for replacing the downstairs unit. I said I was still getting quotes. He left and I called to complain about the non-disclosure of the service fee. I don't have an issue paying for time spent. My issue is the fact that they never told me about it. Am hour or two later, my upstairs was unbearably hot and had to put my kids to bed upstairs. Luckily I had a window unit so they all had to sleep in the same room with the window ac unit. I knew DALLAS had done something to the upstairs air conditioner. It was fine until he came. It was blowing air but it wasn't cold. It got to 85 degrees so i walked outside and the compressor fan was not spinning. I then looked at the breaker box and noticed the ac was flipped off. As soon as I flipped it on, it immediately pumped cool air through the vents. I've taken pictures and will be pursuing complaints with the state licensing department and local authorities. This was malicious behavior. The tech DALLAS should be fired immediately putting my children in danger.

After thoroughly reviewing the notes, pictures, and estimates from the service appointment, we can only identify that Dallas had interactions with the downstairs system that was not cooling and needed service. Further, we support any customer who wishes to gather and compare additional quotes from competitors to ensure they are receiving the best pricing and service for their family and home. The implication that a senior technician of ours would retaliate against any customer for mentioning such, and putting a customer or their children in danger, is unequivocally uncharacteristic of Dallas and our company’s core values. We appreciate you allowing us to refund your $67 trip charge and wish you the best.

Our AC went out during Memorial Day Weekend. I've given them one star because, although it was a holiday weekend, they came out first thing Tuesday morning. However, they tried to charge us $2000 for a $600 job. The issue was our fan motor but Noel said we needed a new fan motor, blade, and fan board. My husband asked why we needed a motor AND blade--he said because they come together as a unit. Once we said we were getting a second opinion, he came down to $1500, then finally $600 after a motor suddenly appeared at their warehouse. The actual company we used confirmed 1. The motor and blade we need do not come together and 2. There's nothing wrong with our fan board. I would hate to assume they tried to take advantage of us based on my husband's accent or our race but the drastic change in tone was odd.

Not much to say except after spending over
10k on two brand new systems each has needed aver 1 thousand dollars of repairs each time they come out even with a warranty. The last time somehow the whole system broke down after changing a thermostat in the house and leaving us without air for two days. Just a very bad decision made in hiring and trusting. One morning the owner showed up for repairs and either he or partner smelled of alcohol first thing in the morning. I've learned to only go by word of mouth. I wish I could say better I'm sorryHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Will F.Flower Mound, TX0112Feb 18, 2023
My Hvac system was acting like it was little low on freon especially on the cooler nights. I was able to get service only a few hours after I called even on a weekend. Cole was the serviceman and I found him to be not only professional and knowledgeable since I also have done AC work in the past but very thorough pointing out some things that were in need of attention but not required. He understood that I was basically trying to not put too much into this older system because I plan on replacing it sometime later this year when the Federal incentives fully kick in.
He was very thorough and not rushed at all, made sure everything he observed and tested was completed properly, NOT LIKE THE LAST company that left caps off the Shrader valves so freon could leak and dirt could enter the fitting. Cole paid attention to everything and also answered all my questions and was forthcoming with sharing his experience, training and past jobs so I guess I was able to relate very well to his qualifications and his desire to do positive things for people trying to be helpful rather than sales oriented.
We discussed the upcoming incentives under the inflation reduction act for getting a new high efficiency system and those big credits which are not yet in effect but coming soon.
Cole also assured me that his company would only do quality work at the highest standard and therefore wont be the lowest price but also won't be out of business 2 years after a large replacement purchase.
It turned out that signing up for their monthly service plan was going to pay for itself and gave many assurances along with 2 service calls and discounts as a priority customer. It saved me money for sure compared to my other recent experiences.
The pricing was fair or better than fair given the service plan. Thanks Cole for saving me money and suggesting this route.
That gives me some peace of mind and It is very likely that I will have AIR REPAIR PROS upgrade my system as soon as the government incentives are available. As a retired person I do have to watch my expenses but that also will qualify me for an almost free to me High SEER HVAC system. A lot of folks dont know this but when this goes into effect many people will qualify so do your research early because there will be a line for sure. My air conditioner is 3 years old under warranty and is still going to cost me 1500.00 to put a new Compressor. WTF. That's called price Gouging!!!! We even paid for the extra service on it and it still cost us money. I will be reporting it to the local news!!! I understand I would have to pay something but not 1500.00!!!!

Sam came out today for my Spring check up. This is part of the Comfort Club (best 185 I have spent since moving to TX) membership. Sam explained all he found gave complete list of options as well as pricing for all. He was willing to spend all the time needed to answer all of my question in terms I was able to understand.
If you need an HVAC company I would highly recommend Air Repair Pros and I would ask for Sam! Also look into the Comfort Club as they will handle scheduling your Spring and Fall maintenance so you do not have to. It is a great way to keep up with your system without you having to do anything!
Air Repair Pro is my go to company ans Sam is now my AC/Heating "guy" !
Thanks again Sam for the great service!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim H.SoMa, San Francisco, CA02Aug 11, 2021

I would recommend them to any and all who are looking for someone that will do what they say and do it with integrity.
