My first meal soon after arriving in Naples and I was filled with excitement. Having dined in Rome and Florence recently I had set a high bar. The restaurant is a typical restaurant on the plaza with outside tables; unfortunately, the only tables available on a Wednesday night at 8PM were inside tables. We were set in a small side table. The order was taken swiftly enough. After the appetizer was done the waiter came cleared our plates and silverware leaving only one fork
for each of us. When the main course arrived we could get the waiter to return with knives. In spite of many times coming to the table right next to ours, and acknowledging I was calling for him he gave me the universal "in a minute" sign. In the end my son had to tear the meat apart with his hands and fork a la caveman. When paying the cashier, who was the waiter who had come by my table but never stopped, asked me how my meal was and shocked when I told him about the poor service. He attempted to placate me with a shot of limoncello. The food was OK; certainly not the best I had previously. I'll be in Naples a couple of days. The restaurant is across from my room, but I won't be returning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - E S.Oxnard, CA03Sep 6, 2023
Top tier seafood restaurant. Was able to sit outside, which was nice cause the weather was warm. Food all over Naples are different degrees of good. I put them in 3 categories top, middle, and bottom and they all have their place, when balancing qualify, price, taste, service, and atmosphere. This one is in the top tier. 100 Euro for 3 included 3 Antipasti dishes, 3 primi (2 different pastas and Risotto), 1 bottle of wine and water. A little on the high side for cost but the taste was off the hook compared to other places in Mergelina so well worth it. When I find a place that's cheaper and still with great quality, that will get 5 stars. Highly recommend. Generally speaking, pizza is still the best deal for price, taste and filling up your belly but no pizza here.

We stopped in for a late dinner, the host was more than welcoming. The calamari was fresh and crispy! The Ragu ziti was one I will return for! Absolutely the best food and service, and reasonably priced. We will be back while we are on vacation.

The fish here was excellent, especially the frisella di mare we had as an appetizer. This was the best seafood salad I've ever had! Our waiter, Francesco was charming and excellent. If you're in Naples, find Piazza Dante, try this restaurant!

Ate here one day with my friend when he was living in the area and I came to visit. Had a nice seat outside looking at piazza Dante. I ordered gnocchi alla sorrentina and it was very good. Good place to eat while in the city.

What a great place to eat with their 15€, 20€, and 25€ complete menus that are full of tasty options which includes your wine, water, and coffee. The quality of the food is clearly considered and I have to have a bad meal. The service is also wonderful which is often lacking here in Naples. My vote: GO AND HAVE A GREAT MEAL!
