My hotel receptionist told me id have trouble getting a table on valentine's day but he was able to get me a reservation with the owner Angelo. When I arrived he greeted me very friendly and let me know where I needed to downstairs. Service was great. Both the calamari and the genovese were delicious. House red wine was great too. Would Def come back next time I'm in town. I liked the guitarist playing music while dining as well.

Great restaurant with decent prices. Not cheap but not over the top. I've eaten at many places in downtown Naples as well as Mergellina (over-priced and so-so quality). It wasn't until we ate at A1 53 that we finally said "now this is what pasta should taste like". I had the Pacchiare seafood, fried squid, and octopus salad...all excellent. Sat outside and people watched and enjoyed a wonderful meal.

The servers were really nice but the old guy taking the orders was rude and arrogant. In other words, terrible service. Saw multiple tables leave because it was just a joke to be there. Prices were good for what it's worth. That's the only thing I can say. My partners food came 15 minutes after mine. We were just about done after that.

I used to eat at this place when I was a kid. After several years I came back to visit and I was amazed how they kept the same quality. The food is amazing. The people are friendly. If you want to try some traditional dishes you have to stop here. Ask for their bucatini al pomodoro fresco. You will not go wrong

The fish here was excellent, especially the frisella di mare we had as an appetizer. This was the best seafood salad I've ever had! Our waiter, Francesco was charming and excellent. If you're in Naples, find Piazza Dante, try this restaurant!

We stopped by this wonderful restaurant which I read they have the best seafood in town, true to what was stated! We ordered sepia for appetizer, our main course being the fried cod fishes and mixed seafood grilled to perfection, Johnny was super nice and helpful to suggest the best combination for our meal, paired with La Rasina Brunello di Montalcino, was a perfect lunch to say the least!!

Sneeze-guard nation. This restaurant is a tightly run business. That's about the best I can say. The food was generally good and would be considered excellent in the United States. The wine was low to middle of the road. Wine prices were fair.
The dishes were reasonably prepared and quickly served but in the spirit of Naples, Italy. I found it to be generally a tourist trap.
Again, I will say that it was nothing horrible but for what I've come to expect from southern Italy in the past week, underwhelming.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer S.San Jose, CA187367Aug 4, 2014
A street side cafe with all the ambience of the city life right in front of you as you done.
We had gnocchi, prosciutto with melon and Italian beer and we happy as clams for a long leisurely lunch.
Service was impeccable and very friendly and helpful

We went to this restaurant in Dante Piazza, not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and low prices.
I started with a calamari salad with strips ofsquid,, zucchini and a few bell pepper strips mixed with rocket and very lightly dressed. My companion had the clams in a light butter sauce. Both were excellent. Mains were Pasta con vongole and a mixed seafood platter grilled to perfection. We washed it all down with a very reasonably priced Lacrima d' Christi Bianco...mainly because the grapes are grown onn Vesuvius...to us it was a deal. Giovanni was our waiter and he was excellent and helpful. Definitely will return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Peter C.Arlington, TX123Apr 11, 2019
The food was great. My wife got the clams with spaghetti in a garlic butter sauce and she LOVED it. I got spaghetti and meatballs and it was good but different. The meatball was more like a piece of pot roast. The wine was very cheap. Only 5 euro for a bottle of the house red.
