About the Business
Albright Painting & Construction Albright Painting and Construction has 40+ years of experience in commercial and residential painting, pressure cleaning, carpentry, sheet rock repairs, plastering, wallpaper removal, textured ceilings, staining and handyman services. We have formal trade school education in painting and decorating, cost estimating, blueprint reading, do's and don'ts of ladders and scaffolding, safety and OSHA rules and regulations. Albright takes pride in our quality workmanship, making sure each and every project has adequate surface preparation. Eighty five percent of a professional paint job is how well the surface is prepared before the painting begins and how well the project is kept clean throughout the project. This type of workmanship and quality cannot be achieved by being the lowest bidder. It requires a well trained team that understands quality and success are in the details. All projects are supervised with a journeyman painter on site.

I concur 100% with the prior reviews. This man is a piece of work. We signed a contract to replace siding and paint our home as well as our deck. The beginning quote was for $6K but called us and wanted $4K more because there were more planks that needed to be replaced than the original quote. We agreed to a total of $8K. Needless to say, we were to get the "worst ones" replaced. There are several that are EYE level that did not get replaced and are very unsightly. The job took longer than anticipated. He always has an "excuse" to delay it. Our deck has been a nightmare. We had it done in April of 2017 and by the fall of 2017, the stain/paint started peeling in several places to which we notified him immediately. A fall inspection turned into a winter inspection which turned into spring since it was cold, etc. Well, it is now March of 2018 and he claims they did nothing wrong and out of the goodness of his heart, he is willing to redo the flooring only even though the top of the rails are peeling as well. AND he says we need to re-stain every YEAR to which we were never advised but the damage started after 4 months. I am finished with him forever, I am tired of his sorry excuses. Beware, our house is so-so but the deck is ruined. Stay away.

Beware please don't do business with this company. He kept the $2000 dollar deposit we gave him for supplies . The work didn't get done. I signed the contract 6/27/18. He kept making so many excuses why he could n't start. He was suppose to start Sept 10th, Actually started on Oct,16th- Got their at noon, left at 4pm. I could go on and on. But am just going to stop here. Our last words to you ., this is a company/ man who has shown himself to be very dishonest and very unprofessional. Trust my wife and I when we say this has been a nightmare for us. The reason am posting this is to stop this company from scamming other hard working people.

We employed David Brown of Albright Painting and Construction and his crew to do painting, power washing, and repair work on our house, patio, and deck. The power washing of the house really brought new life to our 37-year brick and the paint, trim, patio, and side walk. We were really impressed with what he did to give our deck a new face lift. They really paid a lot of attention to repairs that were needed after a few years of neglect. They replaced wood boards on the floor that had turned up, filled in putty where wood had split, replaced nails that had popped up, replaced all of the wood trim around the deck, sand rough wood down, and painted the whole deck (top, bottom, etc.). They did an excellent job painting the deck. They were careful not to get paint on house and other objects that were sitting around. He also made suggestions that were helpful. They also did an excellent job painting our back door, garage, and railings. They removed the glass panels beside the door, cleaned, painted and returned them like new. They were very careful not to get paint on the bricks and steps. We appreciated the special attention that they did in doing the job for us. We would recommend his business to others. As a matter of fact, we did recommend him to a dear friend and she was pleased with his work also.

I signed a contract with David Brown dba Albright Painting and Construction of Durham on 4/30/2016. He took a 50% deposit ($1875) for that project on 4/30/2016. My interior painting project was to be completed on 5/12/2016, but he delayed the start until 5/19/2016. He had someone who claimed to be his cousin cancel the project on his behalf on 5/18/2016, the day before he and his team were scheduled to begin. He promised repeatedly that I would receive a certified check for the full refund amount of $1875. After repeated promises, I have never received this refund and he never did a lick of work.
