Alexandra Schmidt M.D - Blue Water Plastic Surgery Partners

I recently had a chin liposuction with Dr. Schmidt at Blue Water Plastic Surgery. Every aspect of my experience, from pre-op to post-op, was exceptional! I wanted to get a chin liposuction because the fat under my chin really bothered me, especially when I saw pictures of myself in profile. When I met with Dr. Schmidt for my consultation, she confirmed that I would be a good candidate for the procedure and also suggested doing fat aspiration of my jowls to contour my jawline. I had never considered my jowls before, but I am so glad that I trusted Dr. Schmidt's aesthetic eye. I am two weeks post-op now, and I am absolutely thrilled with my results! Even with a little bit of swelling under my chin and in the jowls (which is completely normal at this stage in my recovery), I can already see the difference in my profile that I was hoping for. My jawline looks so much more contoured now, and I feel like I can actually see my chin!

I was feeling a little bit nervous on the morning of my surgery, but my pre-op nurse, Felicia, did so much to put me at ease. She answered all of my questions and explained everything that was going on. At no point did I feel confused about what would happen next. Nurse Felicia did so much to comfort me and alleviate my anxiety.

My surgery was performed under IV sedation rather than general anesthesia, so I was in a "twilight" state of consciousness. Due to local anesthesia and the IV sedation, I did not feel any pain during the procedure.

Nurse Bethany helped me wake up from the IV sedation once the surgery was complete. She was so kind and professional, and like Nurse Felicia, she took excellent care of me.

I had 700cc implants for 20 years and they were just a burden, too heavy and interfered with my workouts and clothing. Dr. Schmidt gave me her full attention and helped me choose the right procedure for my body. We decided on a breast lift, 305cc Sientra gel implants, and some liposuction in the armpit and abdomen. She even put some of the fat in my upper breast to give me a nice contour. I was the only patient so I had all the nurses, the surgeon, and MD anesthesiologist taking care of me. What a different experience than going to a hospital! I feel so much lighter and perkier. My boobs haven't been off my ribs for 25 years! My husband was worried about me going smaller but he is very pleased with the result!
