All City Taxi

If I could give All City Taxi zero or negative stars I would.

I just called to schedule a taxi to take me to the airport, and was informed by the operator that I was not in their service area. Thinking that she was determining this by my phone number, I let her know that I was actually using a Skype app and I live in Philadelphia. She then told me that she couldn't service me because I had cussed out an operator. In as polite of a voice I could muster I told her that was IMPOSSIBLE because I had never called before. She then hung up on me.

Not only was she exceptionally rude, she made absolutely no sense. A business with customer service like this shouldn't be in operation.

Don't use! Call another taxi company.

Use one of their morning of 10/9/13 even I read the reviews. A resident flagged a taxi and I should have gone with my first instinct and not used them.

I didn't have an extremely bad experience like others but there were issues. Driver talked on cell phone while driving. Most likely holding the phone. Driver knows the area but his manner is slightly irritating when I wanted to discuss cost over time. Yes, he knew faster route to area but I see what other reviewers mention in attitude.

Asshole Cabbie Alert!. From the other two reviews it looks like that it isn't the case with All City all of the time. But the one that the fellow members of the Deli Philadelphia staff and I encountered was so horrible that I've chosen to avoid this cab company at all costs!

After promoting a successful show at Johnny Brenda's (you all missed it due to my last minute posting - http://www.yelp.com/events/philadelphia-deli-magazine-presents-an-american-chinese-grandchildren-the-armchairs-and-savoir-adore). We were so drained that we craving nothing but Chinese Food at David's, and the eventual slumber that was to follow. So we decided to split a cab three ways and get to Chinatown quicker. Unfortunately we chose the wrong cab!

From Johnny Brenda's to Chinatown you could continue down Girard until you can cut through a part of Spring Garden that has significantly less traffic. Or you could cut through some back routes to save time, which is something that a respectable cab driver might try to do. But instead this douche decided to go down Northern Libeties when people were starting to leave and drive away from the bars, and left the meter running when the cab wasn't moving.

That should have been are indication to jump out and find a better cab immediately after. But that point we were far to drained and craving our goal to care. So onward we rode. After NoLibs, you would have thought that the driver would have gone through Spring Garden, Vine Street, or any other street before Race Street that would have given us easy access to our destination. it's pretty logical to assume right? WRONG! instead this ass clown decided to ride all the way to Market Street and even more traffic. And of course he still managed to leave the meter running when he wasn't moving anywhere.

Finally after one more unnecessary turn in Chinatown we FINALLY reached our destination.Unfortunately for him, his milking us for money and time in such a crass way led to me calling him an asshole under my breath being his tip for the evening. it's really a shame, because it's ass clowns like this one who give the Philadelphia cabs such a bad name. And as a result of this experience it's going to be a loooooong while before I give the blue and white All City Taxis a fair shot.

This service is terrible. Each time I've had an issue, and I'm done.

Once, the taxi driver told me to pay him upfront in cash. Another time, while driving me there. I couldn't reach the machine to pay anyways, and he said take off your seatbelt. Another time going to the airport, the driver knew his machine wasn't working, wanted to make up an amount to charge me and insist that he was a cash only cab and service... I had called to book the night before and made sure that they accepted credit cards.

I'm not even mentioning the drivers with road rage and ones that reckless driving. This is a service that just proves why Uber is doing great.

All City Taxi got me from my hotel over to the Apple Store, Suburban Square during the tail end of rush hour before the store closed (at 7:00 pm - go figure!)

The cab driver was a cool guy - he waited for me to run in the store - make my transaction - then took me back to the hotel.

The cab has a credit card swipe interface in the back seat - I've never seen one of those before.

9/17 @11am on foothills highway in boulder, I was driving the speed limit in the right lane, cab nr 109 was tailgating me and start honking. They moved to the left lane, back to the right lane, then left lane...weaving and speeding

Thieves! I had a bit to drink and wound up falling asleep within a few minutes of being in the cab. It is a $30-35 ($50 at the absolute max) cab ride normally from Center City Philadelphia to Pennsauken, NJ (right across the bridge). I woke up about 30 minutes later and the cab driver was driving around in the ghettos of Camden at 1 am and the bill was over $85! For some reason I paid the fare in full (no tip) on my credit card and then when I went to dispute it/ report it with the cab company I was met with extreme rudeness from the lady at "customer service". A somewhat descent guy answered after I called back again and he apologized and gave me some words of wisdom: call the cops if you think you are being ripped off. Since the service was provided to me I could not get a refund with my credit card. Lesson learned the hard way I guess.

All City, 215-Get-a-Cab --- whoever you are: Since you got your act together with your new Android App, I am officially a fan.

Seriously, do yourself the favor and download 215GetaCab! Cabs are on time for advance reservations, and depending on where you are in the city - seem to arrive within a reasonable timeframe if you're requesting instant service. The drivers dispatched have also been nice, with clean cabs that seemed to know where they were going. That's always a plus. (Isn't it sad when that's become a plus, instead of an assured standard amongst cab drivers?)

Let's face it - in the wintertime - you don't want to freeze your bits off getting from point A to point B, and Uber is 1.) Silly to take for anything shorter than an across town ride, & 2.) is no longer your only option if you're trying to get somewhere from a starting point off the beaten track.

For some reason. likely the great responsivenes and service, this is the primary taxicab company that I use whenever I am staying in Philly, and the ONLY one that I ever call whenever I need to call for a taxi via telephone.

This company has NEVER let me down, and has never failed to send a cab in a timely fashion, no matter where I call from in Philly. On the other hand, a good number of the other cab companies have failed to fulfill my pickup calls in the past, which is what has led me to using All City Taxi exclusively when I need to call a cab!

In fact, I have memorized their phone number, so that whenever I am in Philly and need a cab, I know their number off the top of my head!

BTW, I have always had great drivers with this company -- never a single problem with any driver!

PLEASE DO NOT USE All City Taxi!!! If you want to feel safe and secure - do NOT use this company. ZERO STARS!!!

I took a taxi from 30th Street station and the driver missed my street. He refused to go around the block and insisted that I had given him the incorrect address. Not likely - considering I was going to my home. Meantime the meter was still running - so it wasn't like he wasn't going to get paid for the additional travel time.

It wasn't until he became super aggressive, combative that I realized that there was no license information was displayed, no picture ID, and zero identification. It became crystal clear that I would be better off and smart to just get out of the taxi. It was pouring rain, I was without an umbrella, in heels and a block and a half away in a cobblestone neighborhood (big bummer). Didn't matter, I was scared so I paid my fare and got out.

When I called All City Taxi to report the driver and complain, they absolutely could have cared less. It didn't faze them at all that one of their drivers was hostile, rude and basically a threat to their clients.

Nothing worse than feeling defenseless and totally at RISK! The driver had a chip on his shoulder, was defiant in his behavior and attitude and clearly does not enjoy his career choice. So, ladies, you've been warned - use a different company as this service was beyond unacceptable and scary as sh*t!

People need to realize that this company is NOT a SAFE option for Philadelphia taxi companies.

DO NOT USE THEM! Can you tell I am still fired up about the scenario!?!?! SCARY!
