Amazing Movers

OMG ! I was just moved yesterday by three incredible crafts people by Amazing Movers.

Alec, Mark and Moses just moved me yesterday from a small town house that was loaded with furniture, boxes and all sorts of things into a new residence in Escondido. In 2 1/2 hours, the three incredible, crafty, knowledgeable, and most friendly workers, emptied my house and offloaded me in less than two hours into a two-story new residence.

In my student years, I used to be a mover myself and drove household moves across the country.
Yet these three gentlemen made me pale in comparison!
They were incredibly talented, worked with utter caution and care, prepared a local move as if they were going on a 3000 mile long-distance trip (shrink-wrapped, padded and boxed everything). They just did a fabulous job moving us from La Mesa to Escondido.
Tomorrow they will be moving my fiancé from Temecula to our new mutual home in Escondido.

We are looking forward to meet them again, have them do a most diligent job, and making it a fun experience to be moved! The prices are very reasonable, the services are rendered are incredible, and I would highly recommend to any and all this company and their workers to entrust them with the move of my personal belongings!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. First, Stan no longer owns this company and it is NOT the same quality of service. Apparently Stan sold the company last year. Prior to this move I had used Amazing Movers 7 times in the past 9 years and never had a bad experience. Naturally I didn't hesitate to schedule my 8th move with them because I didn't know any better. This most recent move was 4/30/2019.

A few administrative changes. They now have 3 hour minimum and charge for double mileage. They also require a deposit to hold the appointment. These all seemed reasonable so I was completely fine with the changes.

Moving Day! The crew showed up late, but did call to let me know they'd be late. Everything appeared to be going well until after the 2 guys, Sean (Shawn) and Joe, unloaded everything and left.

As I was unpacking and putting things away, I noticed serious damage to an expensive, solid wood Pottery Barn wardrobe. When Sean was attempting to move the cabinet solo on a dolly I told him that the movers had always used furniture straps and/or a flat dolly. He did not listen and continued to attempt to jump and rock to get the wardrobe off the ground. Looking at the photos you can see where the threads of the blue furniture pad are imbedded into the wood from the obvious damage caused by the movers' dolly. Additionally they did not unload my large full length mirror off their truck.

I called the company immediately to report the damage. I was told to text photos to a cell phone, so I did. I never got a response. I called back the next day and spoke to Edmond, who claims to be a supervisor, and he told me "Sean said everything was in great condition when he left". I proceeded to tell him he can come see it himself and bring the dolly to see the major dents perfectly align with their equipment. I asked for the insurance company's information to file a claim. He stated he would talk to his boss and call me back. He never called me back, again. During the conversation I also told him my mirror was not delivered to which he replied "that happens all the time". He said he'd have it delivered. I advised him I would be at work until 4pm.

When I came home from work, my mirror was in my FRONT YARD! It had a blue moving blanket draped over it, but are you kidding me?! They decided to leave my personal property that they failed to unpack from their truck in my front yard, unprotected from theft and weather elements (yes it's been raining in North Park) WITHOUT even a phone call, email or text that it was dropped off.

Additionally I sent a follow up email via their website with photos to report the damage. I also called back this afternoon and left a message. I requested their insurance company since they CLAIM on their website to be insured so I can file a claim. No response. No call back. Nothing.

Stay away from this company!!! I will be reporting them to BBB and looking into any legal options. They are COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. They have ZERO integrity. I REGRET using them, and you will too!

Update after a month: so hard to communicate with this company. After they sent some to check the damage and failed to clean the mess, I got a response said I am gonna get a $200 check for this damage. In fact, the damages cost me much more than $200 bucks. Only these two spring boxes cost me more than $400 plus handling fees and professional cleaning services for my mattress. Up to today, I STILL DIDN'T GET THE CHECK THEY PROMISED.

Tell me what's integrity.

This business is a SCAM. Stan sold it last year. They are NOT that company any more.

From the beginning of the move At the storage facility it was a problem. They kept banging furniture off walls and on the carts. They actually put the side rails from my bed in a box upright and when he went to take it out of the elevator he put it through the he ceiling tiles in the elevator.

They took a 55 minute lunch break on the way from storage to my condo and didn't tell me they were stopping somewhere. I thought they took off with my stuff.

One of the movers was like 6 foot 4 and walked into my dining room Chandelier twice. They dropped my dresser on its side off the trunk. The pulled the pins that hold my entertainment table out of the legs carrying it sideways. It was reported to Travis the GM and it took him two days to call me back.

He jerked me around for two weeks saying he would put in an insurance claim. He did not. He then had a lawyer call me and offer me 30 cents a pound on a 90 pound piece of furniture, but said it only weighed 40 pounds. They then didn't even mail that check.

Travis is a total clown and so is Amazing Movers. Avoid them at all costs. Even if they don't damage your property they will overcharge you on the time.

It's been a long time since I found movers I love but these guys will now be my go to! From the beginning the communication was great and I got a call to confirm the night before the move and when the truck was 5 minutes away, right on time! (Last year my movers were hours late)

The guys somehow tetrised everything into the truck, which was a miracle because we have a LOT. Ricardo and his crew were super friendly and their teamwork and the way they treated each other was awesome to watch. They were crazy efficient and got the whole move done in at least four hours less than our last move. I've literally never had a move go so smoothly and i move at least every other year.

I hate the whole moving process but these guys made it totally bearable!

We decided to use Amazing movers based on a recommendation from our friend who had used Stan previously. It looks like the company has been sold and is under a new management. The overall experience has been extremely disappointing. I usually do not write reviews but given what I and my family went through, decided to share my experience so other families do not suffer.

First the positive:
* The actual movers were courteous and extremely hard working
* They were extremely careful to make sure that any of my belongings and the house is not damaged

Now the horrible experience that we had:

* In order to have an accurate estimate, we requested amazing movers to send an estimator to our home. After visual inspection, he gave an estimate of 10 hours. The actual move took 30 hours (20 of these hours were a different company these guys did not show up the next day).

* At the end of the day, they dumped everything in my garage and left. Given they did not come the next day, it caused extreme inconvenience for my family

* Throughout the day, I tried reaching out to the manager (Travis) but he or any of the other manager was unreachable. I had concerns about the speed of the move and wanted to discuss it with them. But they were in constant contact with their team and never returned my voicemails

* At the end of the day, Travis was outside talking to the foreman on the bill but did not have the courtesy to come and meet me

* Next morning they sent an email informing us that they will not be coming and it completely left us stranded and cause extreme inconvenience for the family.

* Finally they did not screw the bed frame and just placed the mattress on top. As a result our bed fell with us sleeping on it

They have NO MINIMUM time requirement (I had to call 20+ movers before finding someone without a 3hr minimum).

Amazing Movers saved me with a last-minute UBox unload! Exceptional service for the price! (I was sure to tip each guy)

Ricardo, Joseph, and Joseph were communicative, calling twice the day of the move to confirm my schedule and let me know when they were on their way. The team was on time, professional, and extremely hard working! They were drenched in sweat but never slowed down the entire 1.5 hours it took to unload by UBox and move into my 1br. They were also patient and understanding - I accidentally had them move a bunch of boxes up 3 flights that actually needed to stay downstairs, but they just said, 'no problem' and took them down without seeming upset at all!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I've had a bad experience with some moving companies in the past (broken TV and chair), but never with Amazing Movers. Recently they were extremely helpful when I had a strange situation with a storage unit. They Could've easily and rightfully not have helped me out, but the owner was extremely kind and gave me a great deal on top of it.

Hands down the best moving company in San Diego!

There were pleasant things and unpleasant things in my experience with this company. Overall, I am going to mark it as an average move.

First, the company representative was very prompt at providing an estimate and was diligent keeping in touch throughout the scheduling and moving process. The amount billed was in line with the estimate.

Second, I had decided to let the company's packers box up my kitchen, and that went smoothly. They packaged the breakables in a manner that would have been appropriate for a long-distance move, even though I was only moving about 2 miles. The non-breakables might have been damaged in a longer move from jostling in the boxes, but on this short move they were fine.

Third, on the actual moving day, some things went well, and other things did not. The crew was careful and considerate in some ways, such as allowing me the opportunity to affix felt pads to the bottoms of furniture on our new, hardwood floors, but they were careless in others. One thing that surprised me was the use of wardrobe boxes to just heap clothes into rather than using hanging bars as I had envisioned. One box even said "trash only", which was not something from which I appreciated retrieving my clean clothes. Another thing was the minimal and ineffective use of runners and tarps on the new hardwood floors at our destination apartment. At one point a crew-member dropped his load on the wood and scratched the floor withdrawing his two-wheeler blade. I pointed out that he could have dropped the load on the nearby tarp and avoided damaging the floor.

Moving I suppose is never going to be fun and hassle-free. I have always hoped to find a moving company that would treat my property the way I would treat it. Amazing Movers is not that company. However, if you are looking for a mover that shows up on schedule and gets the basic job done, then I do recommend this Amazing Movers.

Wow probably one of the best moving company's out in San diego did a great job. Got there on time. Christian was great with his crew they were fast and efficient. Booking was nice and easy with a flat hourly rate no hidden fees I would recommend amazing Movers for your next move
