Overpriced. I don't recommend. Needs a revamp. I would not go back. Umm I don't know what to write... I think it needs a new dj

Cheap place with a rowdy crowd. I went with my wife for latin night dancing and felt at a lowlife bar in a strange place. Drinks are expensive as if you were in Nee York. So stay away from this trap!

It's such a fun place to go to! My and boyfriend had a really great time! They have a variety of music from salsa, merengue, cumbia, and bachata.
The dance floor isn't that big, and it is hard to find seating if you didn't call ahead and reserve.
It's much more fun when a live band goes to play. But DJ is ok. Go! Even if you don't know how to dance because everyone has their own dance styles and you can really learn fast by observing!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kristin D.Aurora, CO062Nov 16, 2017
I visited this club on a Saturday night with a group of girls celebrating a birthday. We got there early, like only people at the place early. Out of a group of 4 people at that point, only one ordering at the bar.
We decided to take a seat at 1 table (mind you, there were reserved tables which we did not take and we were the ONLY people there). After 5-10 minutes, a woman came up to our table and started yelling in Spanish that we could not sit unless we were buying from the bar? I thought that was extremely strange, and rude.
The rest of the group arrived ~10 total, and more people were ordering so no one came up to us again, thankfully. Later in the evening after dancing to the awesome music, and having an amazing time a few of us decided to grab some water from the bar. We were then told by a different staff member that we could only order water if we started a tab!
So both encounters with staff made it seem like we didn't matter, and that our bar tab was more important than cooling off after dancing or trying or having a seat in an almost empty establishment after dancing for a while. It seemed really strange that they were more focused on us buying, especially since we ALL paid to get in.
Overall it was a fun night; the music and atmosphere was great. Would consider going back, but being mindful that the staff is decently rude.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lynn S.Clearwater, FL20288119May 14, 2019
I love Amorama!
Pros:
AC works well which is important when you're dancing
Not mega expensive
Good music if you like old school Salsa
Nice dance floor and you can dance on the side too
Cons:
Sometimes it hard to get a drink at the barHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 27, 2017First to Review
Pure Salsa/Bachata/Merengue Dance Club and in my opinion the best in St Pete- FL! The location is right by ICOT near Mugs and Jugs. The parking lot is full before 9 PM but when Mugs begin to slow down there is plenty. The strip mall is not spectacularly pretty outside but who cares it's about dancing. The dancing floor is wide enough, the music is loud and the beverages as good as the one you find in South Beach Miami but cheaper. Be warned, most have dance partners already but there are some single. I hated to share this secret place to all but that's being selfish!

I'm visiting my friend who lives here now and wanted to take her dancing. She is recovering from a stroke and uses a wheelchair. This club had enough space to maneuver and they were accommodating, until the group at the table in front of us blocked the main walkway with their tables and chairs. Extremely dangerous for all patrons! Otherwise, drinks were affordable, music was good, bathrooms were clean, nice crowd. Lots of couples so it was hard to find a dance partner. I'll come back next visit...hopefully my friend will be walking then so we can really dance!

Love this place. Such a nice space for dancing. They played salsa, merengue and bachata and a few more. Drinks are kind of expensive though. 5$ for a beer. But it's a nice place. Cover on Saturday nights is 5$ for ladies and 8$ for men.

First time here and it is hard to find a good Latin night club. Everyone dances and the band was lively. Will definitely be back.
