Q:
Looking for a vet to perform a vasectomy instead of traditional neuter on my dog?
A:
I would give them a call. She is an amazing vet and has a full surgical room. I cannot imagine a vet more open to that concept. - unfortunately, I cannot directly answer your question.
Jacquie N.4 years agoQ:
Does this place do ultrasounds for dogs and how much do they usually cost?
A:
Thank you for your interest in our clinic. We have a veterinarian who is available by appointment to perform ultrasound. You will have to call on Monday for a price quote. 954-916-4903. Thank you.

I really wanted to meet the Dr. I have NEVER met her face to face and, after Covid she kept her drop off policy. I got sick of it. My two friends that recommended this place also left. Please change this policy.

Dr. Loeser at ARRC has been wonderful in helping my dog. I brought my dog to her for a consultation for chiropractic services, as I was concerned about his shoulders. She examined him and adjusted him, which clearly made him feel better. We have seen her several more times for chiropractic and each time, my dog feels better after his adjustments. They were still doing curbside pickup at the time I'm writing this review, so once I arrived in the parking lot I called the number listed on the signs near the entrance to check-in. The tech/nurse came to my car to take my dog inside and get any pertinent info from me about my dog. After Dr. Loeser examined my dog and performed the necessary services, she called me each time and went through her findings. She has been extremely thorough each time. When my dog needed to do some PT exercises at home, the nurse/tech came to my car and demonstrated each exercise, gave me the paperwork with all of the exercises listed (with specific instructions), and asked if I had any questions. I never felt rushed at any of our appointments. Dr. Loeser has been an excellent and caring vet for my dog's chiro and PT needs. She has a beautiful property filled with blooming flowers. There are several places to sit outside while waiting for your pet, including benches and gliders. The receptionist has always been friendly and the nurses/techs have been excellent in their communication and care of my dog.

I always loved coming here, and so did my cat Samson! Samson loved Dr Loeser, and he always felt good after his acupuncture. Some people misunderstood and to clarify Samson did NOT die here. He was referred to Advanced Veterinary Care Center where he died in a botched gastrointestinal tube insertion.
We love and still love this practice, they are compassionate, reasonably priced and friendly. I drive 45 minutes to come here. I reccomwnd and have referred many here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah N.Plantation, FL601114May 19, 2021Updated review
ARRC made it a point to give me a call and speak to me personally about the issues with my appointment. I was refunded the amount paid, and I am grateful for their communication.
Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0May 17, 2021Previous reviewI normally love coming to ARRC, however my past experience is enough to not want to return with my dog again. I made my appointment two weeks in advance, letting the staff know I am bringing my pup for a canine influenza shot, as well as discussing with the doctor about getting my pup a prescription for 1 years worth of heart worm medicine. Upon arriving for my appointment, when being checked in, I again reiterated that I wanted to discuss with the doctor getting a prescription for my dog for a years worth of heart worm medication, and that I would like for her to get her canine influenza shot, her nails clipped as we always do, and I wanted to know her weight as I am moving to an apartment soon and need to disclose that with the landlord. When the tech came to my car to bring my dog in, she let me know that they do not have the canine influenza shot, and might have the shot within a week so I would just have to come back for that again. No problem, but I wish I was notified before since this was the main reason for my visit. Normally I get to speak to the doctor, however this time they only called me to ask for payment. I received my dog back, and began to drive home. As soon as she entered the car, she was shaking and smelled rancid. I thought maybe she had stepped in feces, because this was unlike any smell I've ever encountered with her. When I arrived home I noticed she had quite an amount of blood on her wrist, paw, and even on her face. I called to ask the vet to ask what happened to my dog, since when they brought her back out they did not disclose that she was injured in any way. I was told that my dog was acting out when her nails were being clipped and needed to be restrained, which then caused her to mess herself, and was nicked in the nail causing her to bleed. I understand that nail clippings can be stressful for dogs, however I would have appreciated being notified that my dog was clipped and bleeding, and that she also had messed herself while inside so I could prepare for her to get back into my car dirty. Along with this, I did not receive her weight as I requested, I was just told she is over 51 pounds. I was also charged for a heartworm test that I did not request - if this is a standard procedure, I was not made aware of it, I was just told to pay the amount. I did not receive a prescription for heart worm medicine (as I wanted to order it from an online service), and as I stated before I was not able to speak to the doctor as I have in previous appointments. I am extremely displeased with the staffs lack of communication to customers, wether it is about charges to the bill or your animals health and safety, and I am displeased with paying $40 for a test I did not request (nor was told I would be receiving) and $24 for a botched nail clipping. I am now spending the day taking care of my very stressed out dog, as I needed to clean her own feces from around her privates and blood off of her body.

Gosh, I had such high expectations when I made my appointment based on the reviews I had read here. But if you are a busy person who values punctuality and good communication, then I don't think ARRC is for you. Though Dr. Loeser may take her time with her patients, she does so without regard for other patients. If you can set aside an entire morning or afternoon for a vet visit, or you don't mind an office that makes you wait an hour past your scheduled appointment, then this practice may be a good fit. But if you value your time, be warned ARRC does not.

My two cats love her so according to them she's doing something right to gain their trust. My male cat used to hyperventilate when I'd take him to other vets he was so traumatized but not with Dr Loeser, with her it's a love affair! He now relaxes in his cage back & forth to the vet.
My girl cat turns into a puddle of fur for her as well!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Zack F.North Miami Beach, FL48113Jan 11, 2020
Dr. Loeser and the staff have my full confidence and immense gratitude. From the mild, to the scary, I always know we are in the right place and that is a huge relief in itself.
Simply put, our pets mean everything to us - and that is why I consider myself very fortunate to have been introduced to ARRC.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - May 31, 201424 check-ins
When our vet of 15 years told us she was relocating to Atlanta we had to find another vet. She suggested Dr. Joyce Loeser and a co-worker who is a huge dog lover also suggested Dr. Loeser.
So when the next veterinary need arose we went to ARRC. We were used to going to traditional animal hospitals - florescent lights, sterile environment, doctors in lab coats, etc. At ARRC the practice is in part of the doctor's home so the 'waiting room' is the livingroom and the exam rooms are bedrooms! There are couches and chairs in each room -- and a toy basket in the livingroom for animals who want to play! It was so different from the vet offices we knew. The animals were calm and everyone seemed to get along - it created a shift in my thinking about veterinary care and animal behavior!
We saw the doctor, in shorts and a t-shirt, examine animals both in the exam rooms and living room. (There is no HIPAA law for dogs and cats so it's not a breach to hear the animals' diagnosis or treatment information. Instead it enables others to learn about their pets and conditions in general. It also enables everyone to see the doctor's expertise and 'bedside' manner.)
In the past 10 years, I've seen dogs receive acupuncture and other therapies to help orthopedic and soft tissue disease. I've seen dogs in whirlpools and in agility training classes (she has 3 acres and some is devoted to rehabilitation by way of courses and variation of ground density/incline, etc.). She treats police dogs, service dogs, and pets because those in the know know that she is absolutely the best at what she does. I read another review on Yelp and could not disagree more - I have ALWAYS received training on how to treat my dogs at home - including getting syringes and meds for ongoing treatment of one of our dogs, I have ALWAYS received detailed billing and treatment information, and they do not gouge their customers - they will even call in prescriptions to online pharmacies to help clients get the lowest prices for their animals' meds.
Regarding our dogs Dr. Loeser has identified and successfully removed cancerous masses, leaving clean margins, and once referred us to an oncologist who successfully treated one of our dog's advanced cancer.
Dr. Loeser is not aggressive in pushing meds or treatments - her philosophy is to see what works and build up towards aggressive treatment/therapies as needed. She is laid back and extremely bright. She is a fantastic diagnostician and surgeon but more than that she is like a 'country doctor' who knows who she is and calmly delivers excellent medical care to her patients.
Her office staff is comprised of experienced and compassionate people - from the front desk to the surgical assistants, to everyone in-between I trust them with our 'babies'!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Mathew L.Davie, FL05Jan 9, 2019
What can I say? We love Dr. Loeser. As others have noted, it is not your typical veterinarian office. In many, if not most, cases, Dr. Loeser visits, examines and treats your pet in the reception area/living room. Often, she is on the floor with your furry family member.
Dr. Loeser and her staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and, most importantly, compassionate. She is very down-to-earth and explains things at an appropriate level. I am not a doctor; my other half is. She adjusts the degree of medical terms depending on who she is speaking to.
She recently removed our 7 1/2-year-old mix's spleen, which was significantly enlarged. Surgery was on Thursday. We were able to visit her on Friday morning. They placed us in a room to visit with the pooch.
Don't let the general relaxed and informal atmosphere fool you. Dr. Loeser is extremely knowledgeable -- often with the information on her fingertips.
The only possibly negative thing we've experienced is, on occasion, you are seen a while after your appointment time. However, given the quality of care, it's not a serious drawback.
We highly recommend ARRC and Dr. Loeser!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christine L.Haiku, Haiku, HI082May 5, 2021
Just thought I'd share that this vet, despite my requests to ATTEND rehab (I'm a physical therapist), said I couldn't come. I explained that Indy was a rescue dog- at the time paralyzed in his rear limbs from a rare neurological diagnosis- and really could never tolerate being crated, which this rehab said had to happen "for safety" between rehab activities. Subsequently, he went one day and midday they said he was "doing fine" yet at the end of the day the tech rudely said, "Don't bring him back, he wouldn't do anything, and has no potential". And I was never refunded the $80 evaluation fee or $150 'rehab day' fee. Why crate a paralyzed, shy dog then expect him to respond? Then never return my calls for follow up? Not a very caring situation. Didn't live up to your reputation in the therapy world, Dr. Loeser, and so I certainly don't recommend you. Here is Indy Dog now walking WIThOUT his wheelchair!
