Annie's Book Stop

Annie's Book Stop is a fantastic local book store providing both used & new books. If the owner, Andrea, doesn't have what you are looking for she will order it. It usually comes in within a couple days. The prices are good, never full list price (new books are usually 20% off, used are 50% off list price), and the condition of the used books is usually very good.

I've gotten children's books, young adult novels, books for required reading in college lit classes, sci fi, horror, noir, chick lit, graphic novels, etc. at Annie's. Pretty much any genre you're looking for, she has. There are even out of print titles, so check here if you can't find something at one of the big chains. Ask for help finding your book & Andrea will always know exactly where what your looking for is. I think she uses the force.

Where do all the used books come from? The customers. You can bring in any paper back books & get credit to use on your purchase. The credit never expires, but you have to keep track of your slip because there's no way to look it up. If you're anything like me, you might want to use your credit right on the spot to prevent losing out on savings.

One more thing: if you bring in a truck load of books don't expect the store to take all of them at once. Apparently there's a limit (not a set in stone one, but whatever) to how many trades they'll take a day. This protects the bottom line, I guess. And if that's what it takes to have a cool little bookstore in Beverly, it's worth it. Still 5 stars.

Almost forgot: it's right across from the North Beverly T stop & Nick's Roast Beef (yum). Parking is out back and there is a 2nd entrance back there. Go get some books!

I literally love this place tho a bit crowded always loved getting books here. If she didn't have the book she would order it for me! Love this place always will!!

Love this place. Was looking for a rare book. She found it for me. Was cheaper than Amazon and the book was in better condition than books I have bought on the web.
