I was contacted by Deborah Joachim who claimed to be a "Professional Resume Writer". She advised me it was $150 to write my resume with a $75 deposit, $75 due upon completion, and $75 for an additional resume; however, she charged me the full $150 upfront. When she repeatedly did not make grammatical and professional corrections that are reasonably assumed to be made in the capacity of someone claiming to be a "Professional Resume Writer", I received a request for another $75 payment without receiving my final draft. When I confronted her about this, she claimed she had already completed my additional resume without sending me any notification of this prior to today, and the $75 was for my additional resume. I then responded to her that I needed the final draft of the only agreed upon resume before I will pay any additional monies for another resume. When I received the final draft of the only agreed upon resume, it was still very unprofessional with the same numerous grammatical errors. Once again, I advised her of these multiple unprofessional errors and she responded that I am refusing to pay her, she only has five star reviews, and blocked me from LinkedIn so I could not write an accurate review of her services. She was paid--in full and upfront--for the agreed upon work prior to completion, and tried to hold the final draft of the agreed upon resume hostage until I paid her another $75 for work I did not agree to her performing. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!! I would never refer this person as a "Professional Resume Writer" due to the numerous grammatical mistakes and unprofessional style, as well as, bad business practices.
