Around The Corner Barber Shop

I re-discovered this shop after 20 years and the passing of my barber in Annandale. The barber, who is most pleasant, cut my hair perfectly, the shop is clean and nicely decorated. Although it's twice the drive of my former shop it is worth it. Highly recommend it

Friendly neighborhood barber shop with one barber and I think one other one might be there part time but I've never seen the part time barber the times I've been there. The woman who owns this shop is friendly and knows her stuff, she gives you a legit good haircut and works faster than most barbers so you aren't stuck in the chair for 45 minutes like at some places. One unique thing is the clippers have a vacuum hose that sucks up hair as you get your haircut so there's much less excess hair on your neck and shoulders.

I want to say haircut are $17 but I can't remember exactly. She does take credit cards but prefers you pay cash. I've only been after work (around 4:30-5pm) and they haven't been as crowded as some other shops at that same time so there hasn't been much of a wait.

This place is close to my house and gives a quick, good haircut so I'll be back.

I have been coming to the DC area for work for 4-6 months a year for 3 years now. I discovered Won's barber shop by driving by one day and decided to give it a try. I have found a great value. Won does a great job cutting my hair at a very fair price. She even wraps your head in a warm towel when she is finished. So relaxing! I don't live nearly as close to her shop as I used to but the extra travel is worth it. Highly recommended from this guy!

If you are looking for a great barbershop- look no further. Won will ask all the right questions to determine what style or cut you want. She offers quick service and a great cut. She even provides a warm towel when she is finished. Highly recommended!

The barber is excellent- understands and asks questions before cutting and doesn't over cut. Uses the appointment system but takes walk-ins. Always does a great job! Come here for a great cut! Highly recommended!

My go to barber for 2 years now. I call to schedule an appointment. Just tell her what you're looking for and she'll make it happen. If for whatever reason you're not satisfied, tell her and she will fix it to your desire

First time coming here. The people were very nice and I loved the cut! It didn't take more than 10-15 minutes (I'm a white guy in his 20s that wanted a short cut). The hot towel was a nice touch.

I have been to this barbershop shop once before, but it was maybe four or five years ago. I got my hair cut by the woman on the left I think. There was a male barber, but he took, the client before me.

This barbershop is different different than many of the barbershop or hair places I have been to.

This shop has a hose that us attached near the electric cutters that sucks up your departing hair so very little of it hits the floor. This may be common is so parts of the world, but from what I have seen, not offten. The haircut i received was good. The woman finished off the haircut with a head neck and shoulders massage. Again this is not normally done in a lot of haircut places.

I am happy some place still do this practice. Before you leave this place, the barber will suck off any remaining hair that maybe on you you.

There is only one other place I have been to that had a vacuum to suck up the hair. I thought this was very cool and orginal. I later learned other people did this thing too. I like the vacuum method better because it gets rid of the hair in stead of blowing it around with the possiblity of it landing right back on you.

My new go to place for a skin on the side high and tight. COVID protocols in place. I leave a satisfied customer every time. If you want that smooth as an onion feel on the sides and back of your squash---this is the place.
