My wife and I were in the area and stumbled upon the frame store. We have been in the market for a frame for a special piece of art and asked the employee if we could get a price and he asked if we had the artwork with us. We told him we knew the exact size and we're looking for an idea on cost. The employee stated he could not give us a price unless we had the artwork bc the art could be made of different materials. We tried to tell him it's photo paper and nothing special but he just seemed like no was his final answer. Poor customer service, all we wanted was to explore the options of a nice frame for a recently deceased dog.

Hi Tim,
The employee was correct in his answer. We have a very large selection of frames, mats, and other materials to choose from, with a wide array of pricing. Estimates are based on the size of the art and the materials you choose. Unless you are actually choosing materials that you are interested in, there isn't really a way to give an estimate. I apologize that you felt it was poor customer service. On the other hand, had you had your art with you and wanted to look at materials, you would have found that our customer service is above and beyond excellent. We work with our customers, for as long as it takes, to find them a framing solution that they like and we do our best to get it within their budget. Perhaps you'll read our Google reviews and give us another chance. We would love to give you total satisfaction.

First I will say that the people were nice, but this is not the place to take treasured pieces for framing. I dropped off a stitch piece in mid october and was told it would be ready in plenty of time for Christmas...probably about a month. I called after 4 weeks and at first they had no record of it being there. They even asked if I had called the wrong shop. Then, week before Christmas I received a call asking if they could add another mat layer because they had stretched the piece over a foam board that they cut too small....just wanted to hide their error. Anyway, they re-stretched it and all I can say is the piece looks clean and neat, other than being off-center. 3 squares of fabric on right side and 8 squares on left side. Top and bottom seem ok. Not worth going back, so I'll either live with it or get someone to do it correctly after the holidays. I'll give 5 stars for friendliness, but deduct 2 stars for poor workmanship and another for not standing by their work. Do not use these amateurs. You have been warned.

Dear Steve,
Although I have apologized numerous times, I will do so again. As in any business, occasionally mistakes happen. But, we absolutely do stand by our work. Christmas is a very hectic time for frame shops, as with most businesses. I did stretch your piece about 1/4" too small. I was working on five needlework pieces at once and I accidentally cut the foam core for yours a bit too small. And yes, I did ask you if it would be alright to add a small white inner mat because I was worried that, with all of the other Christmas orders, I wouldn't have time to restretch it. You didn't like that idea, which was totally fine. Our job is to give you the best service and the best quality. So, I stayed in the shop until midnight unstretching and restretcing your piece correctly. I will admit that I was very tired from working 12 - 15 hours per day, making sure that our customers' Christmas orders were ready for them, and because of that I didn't center your cross stitch exactly right. However, when you pointed it out to me, I again apologized and offered to make it right for you. I also would have given you a partial refund for your inconvenience. I'm so sorry that your experience was not good with us. - P M.Chapel Hill, NC03Dec 18, 2020
The friendly staff here spend time to make sure your framing project is exactly right. They listen to your opinions and give you sound advice They complete framing projects in a very reasonable time and go out of their way to provide even quicker turn around if needed. Work is always top notch. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I am a serious art collector, and I am difficult, demanding, inpatient and at times unbearable. I have been dealing with Artisan for many years. Connie and her darling daughter generate gallery quality work. This is by far the best framing store in the Triad area. Additionally she is willing to listen to the ideas of others and work with them. I have no words to describe the excellency of her work and my appreciation for the long day and night hours they have invested to complete my project. By the way, her dog is all love and an asset to their shop.
